Firstly Lanna family house is quite far from most of the action of Chiang Mai and many taxi drivers or tuktuk drivers don't know of it. The place it self is run by a family whonpride themselves on customer service and cleanliness. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm with shared bathroom. The beds are very clean and comfortable, with great pillows!! Aircon is in the room for those hot nights too. A western toilet and a hot shower always puts a smile on the face of a traveller too. The staff are friendly and helpful though only two of them speak English, most guests are Chinese or Korean. Coffee is free all day long and some rooms come with complimentary breakfast. We had to pay, but it's very very cheap!!! 5 baht per slice of toast :) The only downside is that if any mark or stain is on the bedding or towles they will attempt to charge you. Our first day we hears a couple complaining as theh had to pay over 1000baht for the bedding. Keep you stuff clean guys!!! All in all, it's really good at Lanna Family House.
