Plumeria Home is a true hidden gem in Chiang Mai. I was pleasantly surprised to see what a short distance it was from the Chiang Mai airport, I believe it is less than 2 km. This lovely, small boutique hotel is perfectly located—just a short walk to the Old Town, the canal, the morning market, and everything that area has to offer. Walk the other direction and you’re quickly surrounded by incredible local night markets, and even Pickleball courts! I like walking to these places, but I loved riding the tuk tuk back 😅 The location alone makes it special. What really sets Plumeria Home apart, though, are the hosts, Tok and Big. They are absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, they were there to greet us, help us, and genuinely make us feel at home. They even helped us arrange an unforgettable elephant excursion and went out of their way to warm up food we bought at the local market so we could enjoy it in the hotel’s pleasant, cozy outdoor eating area. Everything about this place feels thoughtful, calm, and welcoming. It feels less like a hotel and more like staying at a friend’s place. I almost didn’t want to write this review because Plumeria Home has only eight rooms—and the only reason we were lucky enough to stay here during high season was due to a cancellation. Part of me wants to keep this place a secret. But it deserves to be recognized for how special it truly is.If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-located boutique stay in Chiang Mai with hosts who genuinely care, for the price, Plumeria Home is exceptional. I definitely will be back!
