Chiang Mai Kaslong House

In Thai, Sue, the name of the owner and manager of the homestay, means “perfect daughter”. It only takes one night at Kaslong homestay to realize that her name suits Sue like a glove. The place is a traditional and family house transformed in a homestay by Sue, for the sole purpose to keep the house where she grew up alive and well maintained. I have rarely seen such a beautiful homestay. And Sue did everything she could to help us have the best possible time in Chiang Mai starting from giving us advice (including addresses for great local traditional food) to getting us an electric stove so we could prepare the vegetables freshly bought on the market. The house is on 2 levels. Most of the rooms are on the second floor and Sue gives so much attention to details that the room closest to the road is available for rent on weekends only because some guests could be bothered by the noise due to the traffic early in the morning! The place is super clean, outside the city center and yet close to it, wifi connexion is great, there is plenty of space for yoga practice - which we love doing every morning - or quiet reading, renting of bicycles or motorbikes can be arranged easily, free coffee, biscuits and drinking water are available all day long. Breakfast is not included but you can order and the house keeper will prepare it for you (she does not speak English but she is really kind and a great cook). We definitely recommend this homestay.
