Pueanjai Resort and Restuarant

We went as a group of friends amongst us we had booked a variety of accomodation. Myself and my partner had the VIP suite with the jacuzzi tub and pool views and the others had standard villas one with a double bed set up and the other with two singles. All of us were impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms although the beds were a little harder than our preferences, still good. All suites were spacious with great colour, lighting and decor. The hotel was generous with daily stock ups on water, tea and coffee. However the breakfast included was a huge let down. Very basic and so we ended up going into town for breakfast each morning. Staff on the desk were super super helpful, and smiley. Honestly have not received service that meets this standard anywhere else in Thailand. We had our laundry done during our time here and they even cleaned my partners shoes for him. He had also happened to leave $80USD in his pocket without realising and the staff returned this to us which was wonderful. Each day our room was serviced with fresh towels and all round clean which was wonderful. Given we have paid more for accomodation along the way in Thailand to have been provided with less. However there is a restaurant off the side of the hotel across a bridge and looking out over the water. I wouldn't recommend it as the food is very hard to order and it's unlikely you'll get what you were expecting. We also found that they enjoyed karaoke until quite late in the evenings, so if you're in a room closer to the front of the complex, by reception then maybe ask to be moved because it was worse than x-factor auditions. Bit of a communication barrier here as in general with Chumphon very few people speak English as I don't think it's much of a tourist location. But we really enjoyed our time here and all the locals are super friendly.
