Khaolak Merlin Resort 

We were totally blown away by this hotel. When we arrived we were booked in efficiently and taken to our room. We had upgraded to a deluxe swim up pool access room which was fabulous. The room had everything we needed and was clean and fresh. We had complimentary fruit and drinks in our room on arrival. Housekeeping arrived every day and always did a good job. Our room was always clean and tidy and products replenished. Although the hotel were a restaurant down due to rennovations, we never had an issue getting a table at any mealtime. Lunch and dinner were table service, breakfast was self serve. The food was delicious every day. Breakfast was vast with a huge array of food, absolutely anything you could think of was available along with a chef who would cook eggs to order. Staff were efficient and friendly, always smiling and more than happy to help with anything. The bar area in the evening was cool and pleasant. The bar staff were friendly and got to know your face. Every evening there was a singer. The hotel is known for its trees and wildlife. It was like being in a rainforest. So green everywhere with blue sea and sky. Our pool had waterfalls and was surrounded by trees. Very peaceful and relaxing. The hotel run an evening wildlife walk where you are provided with amber torches and shown hermit crabs, frogs, snails and are always on the hunt for the Slow Loris which we were lucky enough to spot. We made use of the hotel spa. As complete novices we were a little apprehensive but made to feel welcome and relaxed and enjoyed a massage. So much so we went back again! The staff were lovely and you were made to feel very special. We have booked again for 2026 and are looking forward to another happy stay. The staff are all amazing and extremely polite and efficient. We cannot fault Khaoak Merlin Resort
