Since October 2017, all owners of quadrocopters and other unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) are required to register their devices with the National Television and Radio Commission of Thailand (NBTC). In case of violation of the order, Thai law provides for a penalty of up to five years in prison and / or a fine of up to 100 thousand baht (about 3 thousand US dollars).

Compulsory speedboat transfer reservation is necessary to/from Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa for all bookings if guests travel only from/to Phuket. The exception is for guests who travel from either Krabi or within Koh Yao area and those who have their landing and departing flight not according to the hotel's time schedule. Reservation requirement: a transfer booking must be made at least 2 days in advance or at the time of making the hotel reservation. Guests must contact the hotel's reservation team for schedule and rates at least 48 hours prior to arrival. Contact details are provided on the booking confirmation.

From 01 January 2026 to 30 April 2026 and from 01 November 2026 to 30 April 2027, the scheduled transfer service operates 5 rounds per day. From 01 May 2026 to 31 October 2026 and from 01 May 2027 to 31 October 2027, the service operates 3 rounds per day.

Accommodation of additional guests:

— Children under 1 year of age are accommodated free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

— Children aged 2 to 11 years will be charged THB 450.00 per person per night.

— Guests over 12 years old will be charged THB 2500.00 per person per night.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Special requests are subject to availability; Additional charges may apply for these services.
