Since October 2017, all owners of quadrocopters and other unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) are required to register their devices with the National Television and Radio Commission of Thailand (NBTC). In case of violation of the order, Thai law provides for a penalty of up to five years in prison and / or a fine of up to 100 thousand baht (about 3 thousand US dollars).

Under the new immigration procedures, effective May 1, 2025, all foreign nationals entering Thailand by air, land or sea must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online form on the official website of the Bureau of Immigration of Thailand three days prior to arrival. The front desk is open until 22:00. Visitors to Koh Lipe are required to pay an entrance fee to Koh Lipe National Park, which is administered by the National Parks Authority of Thailand. This fee applies to both international visitors and local residents, subject to certain exceptions and conditions described below:

Local residents are entitled to lower fees, but exact rates may vary.

Pakbara Pier (on mainland Thailand).
Koh Lipe Island upon arrival.
The fee is valid for 5 days, and guests will be issued a ticket as proof of payment.
Exceptions:
Transit passengers traveling directly to other destinations on the island, such as Koh Kradan or Koh Lanta, are exempt from the fee.
Guests must retain their ticket.
National Park staff may conduct random checks, and failure to present a ticket may require the purchase of a new one. |
