Bannplaifha Lodge Location Nearer to the railway then the city centre. There are closer home stays and guesthouses to the railway, but this was the only one that turned up on tripadvisor. Situated just off the main road where there are some eateries and a small grocery store. There are an abundance of tuk tuks around if you need to go anywhere. Generally in this area, lots of neighborhood dogs will follow you and growl, so be weary and walk confidently. Service Apart from the introduction to the room, you're left pretty much to yourself. This place feels more like a long stay motel then a hotel. A few locals seem to rent it as their house and are pretty self-sufficient. There is a small car park where many tenants park their cars. Wifi isn't that strong and seems to have better connection standing outside your room. Decor For a lodge in the middle of nowhere it was impressively clean and comfortable. Seems to have been recently renovated and is very simply furnished. The dedicated drying area leads to the bathroom which is very convenient. Suits the basic needs well if you want the bare necessities.
