Impiana Resort Patong, Phuket 

Anyone considering booking at Impiana need to understand that this is a special hotel, its is an older style ( not chrome and mirror ) Thai single story resort . So yes it could be easy to find wear and tear, but it is well maintained and whilst we were there we saw rooms being refurbished. Now this hotel is one of the few that have direct access to the beach , and is within a short walk to Bangla Rd. Therefore the area is noisy, however once inside the resort you don’t hear much from the street. Although you do hear the Beach Club next door until the early hours, although this mainly affects the rooms to the right of the pool, and most rooms are further away. Although I wouldn’t book the Royal villa as you might as well have the DJ from the club in your bed. We really enjoyed the private patio in our Impiana Suite, having private sunloungers meant we didn’t have to fight for one around the pool. These suites are basically two basic rooms so Bedroom, Lounge and two Bathrooms. The hotel is well maintained for its age, the pool is lovely as is the beach in front. Sunsets are the best. It is the staff that really make this place special with Kae and Mee welcoming at the front desk , Yot being attentive at the Pool Bar and around the pool, Ohlea the pool attendant doing his best to look after all guests and Polly at breakfast who made mornings worthwhile. We really liked Impiana and would stay again, remember that Thailand is the land of smiles , so go with a smile and the staff will make your stay memorable.
