I stayed here upon arrival in Dili last week and the night before leaving. It's a bit difficult to find in a small side street so, if you are making your own way there, I recommend locating it on Google Maps and printing it to bring along. I read the previous comment about the water quality and I totally disagree. The water did not smell and was clear. The tap water in TL is NOT drinking water. If you venture into any hardware store, you'll see that they sell lots of filters and UV sterilizers.

Clean, comfortable, roomy, friendly, quiet.  Good value for money - especially with breakfast included and inexpensive dinners on offer. Staff are friendly and helpful. Agree with the comment about printing out the location on Google Maps; having said that, when we were dropped off at the 'old' DCB, locals spotted our backpacks and bewildered looks, and cheerfully walked us round the corner to the new location.
I liked our stay here.  It was high enough above the street to be above the exhaust fumes, and also gave a great view of the mountains and houses below.  I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it for anyone who is happy with basic, comfortable backpacker accommodation.

My friends and I had a lovely stay here.  The accommodations are basic, but really that's all you need.  There was WiFi, A/C and dinner offered at the property which was really convenient (even veggie options!) My friends and I did a multi day trip to Jaco island and were lucky to have Kym accompanying us along with Miggie! We can't speak highly enough of Kym.  She made us feel welcome, had heaps of information about the country to share and made sure we had a safe and exciting trip.  Miggie was more than happy to help in any way he could and we were happy to share a couple days with them both.  Timor Leste is truly a hidden gem and k highly recommend doing a tour that you can book through Dili Central Backpackers.  Thank you for amazing memories and we hope to be back soon!

Good Spot in Dili! 

There was nothing wrong with this place, but I was expecting a little bit more.   Overall ambience was average and things looked a little bit runned down.  There were only two other travelers staying at this place when I visited. The hostel is a 20 minute walk from the seaport, but centrally located.  Free Wi-Fi and free breakfast  included.

I would say location is good and that everything else in Dili is way more expensive. And still the value of what you pay is not what you get. Nice staff and cheap eveningmeals. Got one room right next door reception, which was noisy with no isolation. The AC had no remote control, so either 16 degrees or 32+. Owner says will fix it but can't. The room is stinky and filthy/mouldy, hair on floor, cold shower, came back one day from town and the was no electricity on my floor. Which no-one seemed to have noticed. On the floor where the reception is! Changed to new room one floor up after 2 days, after catching cold and cough. Even this room smelly and would need uppgrade, but owner serms to be witjout funds. Another day with no water and electricity, where someone has to go somewhere to buy more. Last but not least, the owners wild cat, quiet aggresive, running everywhere and leaving poo on terracefloor, laying there for hours. Which owner just shrugged off!!!!!! CAT agressive, cat poo
