We have just had a lovely relaxing stay at the Ilica hotel for a family birthday celebration.The hotel is on a private beach and is quiet and relaxing at this time of year (end of October ) .The staff were very helpful and friendly .We don’t speak Turkish which was difficult for some of the younger staff at times . The rooms may need a bit of an update soon and the air conditioner wasn’t really working so we left the patio door open . We had a huge balcony with amazing views . The breakfast was varied and fresh fruit yoghurts breads and honey were amazing . The egg station was a bonus and eggs done as you like them to order the chef got to know what we liked before we asked . The guest relations lady was very helpful . We had the buffet one evening but preferred the bar menu .We had vegetarians in the group -more choices would have been better for them would be a suggestion for the hotel to improve . Off season was quiet but we loved the time in the thermal pools and sauna as it was not busy and at times felt like a private place just for us . The location is approximately 5-6 mins in a taxi to Alacati or Cesme if you eat out in the evenings .Taxis are not expensive 500TL for that journey .The little buses are cheaper but only run once an hour and stop early from Cesme . Beautiful place -lovely hotel with large sofas to sit in with family in the evenings too. We had a fabulous holiday .
