Vozdvyzhensky Boutique-Hotel 

It is always difficult to chose a hotel in a city you don't know, especially when you as we, don't want the mainstream hotels you can find anywhere in the world. When traveling my wife and I are determined to find local hotels that reflects the national customs, design and atmosphere. But no matter how much research you do, you are never really quite sure when selecting a hotel. You can read comments from other users on the various travel search engines but the comments often vary from "Love this place to the worst ever" about the same place. One further criteria is that the room must have a terrace, balcony or a garden, which limits the number of choices. Unfortunately TripAdvisor has still not implemented this as a part of the filter, but many hotel search engines do... After many many emails forth and back to hotels that claim to have a balcony or a terrace, but where this was just a part of the hotel and not the room, we found this smal hotel in the heart of Kiev. Room 201 is a small suite with a beautiful terrace overlooking the courtyard. The room itself is very well decorated and totally renovated.. A four poster bed and a beautiful bathtub at each end of the room makes this design hotel room very special. The separate bathroom is equipped with white English tiles and matching sanitary and a walkin rainshower that makes the room perfect. The colors of the room is well thought through to give the room the right ambiance. Breakfast is served in the terrace restaurant on the 4th floor overlooking the quiet courtyard or in the hill side garden with a small waterfall.
