Motel 6 Abilene, TX

We were in town for the birth of our granddaughter and it was very convenient for location of the hospital and their residence. Front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly, great hospitality . We will definitely use this hotel in the future.

Great stay. There for a weekend. I've stayed at different motel 6 and by far, this is the best one. 👍👍

Got here near midnight, very appreciative of late reception, then they gave me a refund for the extra day I accidentally ordered without making a fuss about it. Easy to park directly in front of our room, makes it easy with the little kids. Will be back to this spot.

Excellent front desk conversation about the area and amenities. Quiet during entire stay. Housekeeping staff kept the room and bedding clean throughout the rooms.

The room was very clean, bed was clean and comfy, AC was cooling very well. The room was very small.

Slept like a baby and the check-in was super simple. Everybody there was very nice.

Only thing i can say is that they may have a water leak soon because i heard dripping from the upstair unit everytime some one would use the bathroom but other than that it was perfect

The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful with our reservation. The room was clean and comfortable.

This place was very nice for a budget hotel. The staff were pleasant and called soon after we checked in to make sure we were satisfied. Most importantly, the room was very clean. The WiFi was okay but a bit glitchy. There was lots of hot water, the bed was comfortable and the linens were fine. Only the very basic amenities are provided, meaning that a bar of soap is all that is provided. There is free morning coffee but no breakfast. I would certainly stay here again as we pass through Texas. 

Very nice for the price

We stayed here without planning for it in advance; our travel plans changed that necessitated an early departure. I was thoroughly impressed by the staff member at the front desk being so helpful, and even more impressed by our room.

When you stay at a Motel 6, you shouldn’t be expecting a room on par with what you might find at the Ritz-Carlton. That said, the room we got might as well have been Motel 6’s equivalent of a penthouse suite. It was immaculately spotless, and the 50" TV mounted on the wall lended itself well to the ambiance. It’s clear that the proprietors of this particular Motel 6 care about the little things, and it is easily one of the best Motel 6’s we have had the pleasure of staying at. I am only sorry we did not get the chance to stay longer, or have the opportunity to make use of the kitchenette in our room.

The only negative observation I have to note is that the Wi-Fi signal in our part of the property was not strong. We stayed in the furthest corner from the front office, so perhaps that was to be expected. However, for a clean, comfortable room, I will gladly sacrifice reliable Wi-Fi.

A hidden gem and a great value

Room was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the outlets on the bedside table lamps. Appeared to be recently renovated. Pets stay free a definite plus! 
Wish there had been Kleenex/tissues in the room. 
You can hear highway noise. We asked for and got a room on the side of the hotel that faced away from the highway. 

Would stay again

This Motel 6 has a grassy area dedicated for pets.  The staff is friendly and the room was clean, though dated. The shower had great water pressure,  but like typical Motel 6’s, scratchy thin towels.  It was far superior to the other Motel 6 in Abilene.

Pet Friendly

upon arrival the staff was nice check in was fast. Upon entering the room, it looked clean, but there was big stain on the comforter .and shoe prints on the floor. The smell of a strong scented cleaner was present in the room. That night we were all sneezing (sinuses were all messed up). Bed was hard. Some hairs still in the tub. under the nonslip matt. The room is updated it was quite around the area, and there were a few restaurants   to pick from that were close.

Allergies were activated

Loud quests banging on walls, running down upper walkway, over head quests bouncing around, arguing couples and manager no where to be found. No coffee pot in room, light bulbs out, no free continetal breakfast only coffee from a thermal jug. Was unable to get any decent sleep which was reason to come to Abilene night before meeting instead of leaving home before dawn. Won't stay here again.

Tired travel or and no rest here

When we arrived we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned, food was everywhere and the bed wasn't made. After lugging my stuff to the front office, the lady acted surprised but continued to chat with another customer about his dog while I waited. When she finally helped me she said she would give me a double room for no additional price as if this was some kind of upgrade. I had initially booked a king room. After rifling through stacks of papers I guess she realized she had another king room and she made me a key. When I arrived in the room there were pubic hairs all over the shower and the rest of the room was in need of a good deep cleaning. I'm done with Motel 6, this is my second bad experience in a month.

Dirty rooms

Hands down the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed! Looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in years! I took pictures and showed them to the front desk and they acted like it was no big deal! I have included pictures. Do not waste your money! Stains on bedspread and blood on mattress cover! Something disgusting on headboard! Refrigerator had food reminiscence in it! Microwave had stuck on food in it! I didn’t even sleep! Sounded like drug dealers were doing deals! People coming and going all night long! It goes on and on!

Disgusting

It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either you can hear any little movement  from the people on the rooms next to us. Doors being slammed I'm surprised we even slept. Workers very frirndly. Clean place  and the televisions were huge. Lol

It was ok

There were roaches everywhere, the comforters full of holes, the room stank. The ceiling had holes and the walls are paper thin. We had exhaust fumes for 30 minutes filling our room while someone warmed up his diesel truck.  Dont stay here!
