Windmill Inn

Perfect accommodation between the east entrance of Yellowstone and Cody Wyoming. We stayed in the cottage and it was very comfortable, and well appointed for two people with a kitchen and full bath. The view is AMAZING!  And Suzie and Rod are the best hosts!  We hired their company Grub Steak Expeditions for our two day Yellowstone tour. Suzie packed us delicious breakfasts so we could get an early start, and yummy lunches to picnic on the way. The Yellowstone tour was amazing!  Check out my review. We will be back!!

 Windmill Inn is a great place to stay while going through the West entrance to Yellowstone and visiting Cody, Wyoming. Rod and Suzie are excellent and friendly hosts. Their inn is situated in the country and has great views of the colorful and ever-changing landscape. I stayed in the Wapiti room. It was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was served beautifully, was substantial and delicious. They gave all kinds of tips on what to see and do while in their area. The road they live on is quiet and good for walking. Rod has a guide business also which was well worth the time and expense.

We wanted to see Yellowstone on a tight schedule, and Rod and Suzie delivered.  We had a first class experience in a two-night stay in the cottage.  What beautiful scenery!  Rod's knowledge of the park was amazing and Suzie's meals were fantastic.  What a great location between historic Cody and the nation's first national park.  And what amazing hospitality.  Overall wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Staying with Rod and Susie was a pleasure. Their home has beautiful views Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was awesome - both in the breakfast room and our to go box for an early morning departure. We enjoyed playing pool at night. -complete with fresh popcorn. And all of Rod and Susie’s recommendations were spot on - wonderful hikes, great activities in Cody,as well as lovely local restaurants. Staying  here was a wonderful part of our Cody adventure.

The Windmill Inn offered a home away from home. We stayed in the Offutt room -the queen bed was super comfortable,  the  Bathroom was large with plenty of towels, washcloths and a hairdryer, and we had a key in the bedroom door to lock,  if needed.  We had use of the living room with large screen tv and pool table if we wanted.  The hospitality and the breakfast are second to none. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed more.  Rod and Susie are literally the perfect hosts.   By day 2, we felt like we were staying with family; we felt that much at home (without all the stress and work, of course ).  Rod was there with a smile and a  cup of coffee  each
morning and keep my husband entertained while I slept in.  Everyday, Susie served a 5 star breakfast!  We couldn’t wait to see what the next day would bring.   Soaking in the hot tub and looking at the beautiful mountain views topped off night 3 for an awesome visit to Cody, WY at the Windmill Inn!

We had an amazing time at the Inn. Suzie and Rod are very welcoming. We stayed in the cottage and it has an amazing deck to sit on just to take in the beautiful views of the mountains. 
We had to leave early in the morning, so Ms.Suzie make us breakfast boxes to go. 
We will definitely be back to visit. 

You won’t find a better or more welcoming B&B. From the majestic scenery to Suzie’s  gourmet breakfasts and Rod’s excellent advice as a local guide, we had a wonderful stay. Rod & Suzie seemed to have the inside story on where to find  Bighorn sheep, grizzlies and nesting birds at Yellowstone. They were so helpful in making our Yellowstone experience all the richer. Thank you for your hospitality, Rod and Suzie. You two are a great team!

Such peace and quiet staying in the picturesque setting of the Windmill Inn Bed and Breakfast. Open the window at night for a cool breeze or sit on the deck, at the fire pit, for a relaxing evening. Suzy’s breakfast is served promptly piping hot and the conversation is as if you’ve known each other for years. Her husband, Rod, is a guide and will tell you the best places to visit in the area and Yellowstone. Thank you, Suzy and Rod, for a wonderful visit…..we will be back!!

The Windmill Inn was fantastic. Rod & Suzie are super friendly hosts who make you feel very welcome and at home. I can highly recommend this place to stay. Breakfast was superb. Room was clean and comfortable. Convenient location to Yellowstone and nearby is an excellent local restaurant with great food.

The cottage is set in the stunning Shoshone valley just west of the Buffalo Bill State park and reservoir. Views include Playground of the Gods, Gunsight Peak, Black mountain and Table mountain. Quiet, peaceful with excellent breakfast included! Our hosts were extremely helpful in pointing out local interest. Don't miss the Chief Joseph Scenic highway (route 296) and Lamar valley in Yellowstone NP.
