We had a lovely Stay! The breakfast's were great and the pumpkin bread that was offered at the end of our long bike rides was delicious.  The Inn was so comfortable and the hosts were very knowledgable about all the great places to go in the area and were very accommodating to us.  Thank you so much.  This was our first visit to the Hudson Valley and we will definitely be back.

Perfect long weekend!

First the Positives: Contactless check-in, comfortable bed and bedding, lovely grounds, excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, the room was stuffy and hot. The small window air conditioner took a while to cool the room and, as there was only 1 window, blocked out most of the natural light. The “private” bathroom was across the hall from our room. The bathtub spigot was encrusted with corrosion  - which was a major disappointment. Bathrobe collar was satined.

So Wanted To Love It

I brought my daughter here to celebrate her 25th Birthday.  Our visit totally exceeded our expectations! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. The staff was above and beyond.  Mark and Kim are amazing hosts. If you like to hike this is a great place to stay, very close to awesome trails with phenomenal views.  If you want to just chill at the Inn and read a book, there's several seating areas for that too.  Just an all round wonderful experience !!

Absolutely Awesome!!!!

Beautiful grounds well maintained. 
First floor was lovely and we would have loved to eat breakfast there. 
Water tastes ok but smells awful. 
Window A/C units are inconsistent with the cost. 
Bed was lumpy. 
We wish that the breakfast arrangements were more flexible. A single 9:00 am seating is very limited.

Lovely but not for us

Room was spacious and rustic, however there are steep stairs to climb, a terrible shower and very limited amenities. There was a bees nest somewhere in the room and nobody was to be found when needing assistance. 
Location is great for what we were looking for but for the price, much better places around. We thought to try someplace new but will not be booking here again.

We love hiking in Minnewaska and this is our Go-To place to stay.  We've been there 5 times and love it!  They restored an old farmstead into accomodations -- keeping the rustic, original feel of the place but with modern amenities.  The breakfast area is a modern gorgeous add on -- breakfast is gormet, and we love sitting in the adirondack chairs by the firepit after a long day of hiking with a bottle of wine.  Wonderful!

Great Rustic, but updated B&B

Paid $300 for a terrible room with AC that blows directly into your head  and the room is so small you have to crawl on the bed.  Size of the bathroom does not allow you even to close the door. Website doesn't give correct description or pictures . In the evening no personnel to help change rooms . Do not fall into this trap 

Terrible room

I should have read the reviews prior to booking.  They were spot on when it came to the noise level of the highway right outside our bedroom door. We stayed in the Iris room on the main level with two windows facing the highway.   The room was a little chilly in the evening and I called about not being able to locate a thermostat.  I was told they control the temperature of the building.  Oh boy did they!  it was so hot and uncomfortable. You couldn't open the window as there were signs on the windows telling you not to open them. The next morning we chatted with the couple from across the hall , they had their door open because they were so hot.  They had the same complaints about the noise.   
Aside from the problems with the room the B&B is beautiful, as are the grounds.  The breakfast was quite good.

Read reviews first before booking.

The room we shared was in the front of the property about 20 feet off Route 209. We could have just as well slept to a truck filled interstate. With the passage of each vehicle the room shook and in the end it felt as if we were sleeping in a garage. The management were thoughtful enough to leave ear plugs next to the bed that puzzled us until we closed the door and tried to sleep.
In addition, there was no bathtub in bathroom and the huge Television screen did not work.
On top of everything there was no one around to resolve problems since everything was done remotely. The owner did not show up until the morning after our arrival and the desk staff left a few minutes after we checked in. 
And for all this we paid top dollar. 
The cookie cutter motels looked good after a night here.

Good looking location that gets chintzy upon closer view.

Skip the particulars and just save yourself.  Don't stay here - it's terrible in too many ways to list (that's why everyone just praises the breakfast) and the owners are jerks who don't care.  

In addition to absolutely dreadful accommodations - unbearable smell, uncomfortable, shabby furnishings, lights shining into the windows, relentless traffic on 209, etc., the owners are unavailable and heartless.  

We had a medical emergency after our first night there - booked eight nights just the previous day - and had to leave.  It was kind of a blessing since it was hideous being there, but after shelling out thousands, we would have made the best of it.  But as it was, we had no choice and had to leave.  They refused to refund a penny of the 8 nights.  They could have charged us for their 3-night minimum + cleaning fees, the maximum they would have been entitled to.  But no.  Who cares about the customer?  

Really, don't get mixed up with these people.  We have rented many, many places and stayed in hotels all around the world, simple and fancy - nothing has ever compared to the treatment we got here.
