I'm always skeptical about small hotels located in the center of town as they can attract sketchy people, however, this one is exceptional!  We were very impressed with everything.   The front desk woman was very pleasant, our room was spacious, quiet, had good water pressure and most importantly- CLEAN.  The building and grounds are maintained.  The hotel sits far enough off the road that traffic noise is non-existent and there is plenty of parking on property.  A microwave, mini fridge and 2 chairs to use on the  balcony, (all the second floor rooms have a balcony), were nice perks for an affordable price.  I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who will be visiting the Auburn area.  Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Wonderful gem in downtown Auburn

Excellent place for an affordable overnight in the Auburn-Lewiston area.  Very convenient and clean. Comfortable stay. Good location. Easy in, easy out. And owner very friendly, always on hand to help and answer questions.  

Excellent stay

We loved our 2nd floor room! The balcony was nice for coffee in the morning, watching the birds flit around the meadow. The room was clean and quiet, with super comfy beds (linens were soft and cozy). Great staff too, both the night and morning desk clerks - friendly and helpful! We will stay again on our return trip!

Wonderful staff, good breakfast, clean rooms AND BALCONIES!

Nice place but be advised they do not have the advertised included  breakfast.  Instead they give you a voucher for 1 coffee (only) at a nearby coffee place that is within walking distance but it only has drive up service.

NO FREE BREAKFAST

I just stayed at the Center Street Value Inn in Auburn and it suited my needs. I came to do some antiquing and found the location very convenient to where I wanted to explore and there were also many restaurants and businesses nearby. The Inn was a bit old but the room was comfortable and I enjoyed relaxing in the evening as there were a good amount of cable stations available on the TV. They also provided extra pillows. Would stay again. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.

Overnight stay

When traveling through Auburn we tried to get a room at one of the name brand hotels. They were all sold out due to an event in town. Even the bed and breakfasts were booked. We came across the Center Street Value Inn and they had a room. I was skeptical of the area but it was a great price and the room was clean. We had no problem at all and would return. 

Good hotel 

Recently my friend and I stayed at the Center Street Value Inn.  We arrived early due to an event that afternoon.  I found out that I had mistakenly made the reservation for a month earlier.  The owner/manager patiently worked with me to get me a room.  He did not charge since I had paid but was a no show.  This goes a long way in paying it forward and I was so thankful.   He would not take a tip for his services.  Our room was fine, he even had us check it out to make sure it would be okay.  Now this is not a 5 star hotel.  It was fine for a night or two, clean, hot water and a very nice breakfast area with plenty of choices .  Thank you again for making us feel welcome. If we are back, we will stay here again!

Good experience!

Too expensive for substandard motel. Bed was comfortable.  Building was under construction. Bathroom was not upkept. Curtains were dirty and hanging off the rail. TV stand was broken. Wifi did not work in the room.  False description on a website.  We booked the room with the balcony but all rooms with the balcony were under construction.  It's was not value for money deal for us.

Not worth the money.

Dirty shower stall lousy breakfast.  Way too expensive for what you get.    It was not worth it and nighttable missing on one side of bed. No coffee in room.        Also no plugs by the bed to plug your phone or computer.        

Not at all the money's worth

This property is extremely run down. The room was dirty, floors sticky, beds were rock hard and the wi-fi did not work. I was supposed to stay two nights and I couldn’t even stay 15 minutes. Then the manager tried to extort me with no refund even though that is not their policy. Stay far away from this place.
