Let me start by saying after we parked our Lincoln they were cutting the brush right beside it.  There so many things that aren't right. They added a resort fee on after we arrived which we hadn't been told about until we arrived to check in, This is crazy since there is so much that needs to be fixed. Wall inside door was dirty and looked like it had been patched.  Our shoes stick to the bathroom floor.  This is a few of the items that were not  taken care properly for a resort.  I warn you to check them out and then mark them off.

I wrote it above just not a room to be called a resort.  I believe they need to spend some time cleaining.

New management is horrible.  Been going to Sandcastle for the past 10 years for spring break. Did skip a couple of years to stay in North Myrtle though. Well, we came back and everything is different. I was expecting to walk in and see the same smiling faces that I've seen for years. I was very surprised when I didn't.  Anyway I check in and request room 1021. I was told that its no longer on the program ( unsure what that means ) so I get another room on 15 and it was horrible.  I go back to the desk and ask to speak with Venetia. I was rudely told she doesn't work here anymore.  How am I supposed to know that. Anyway the.clerk could care less about my issue. I miss the old Sandcastle family.  Venetia, The front desk staff especially Sophia and Josh  can't forget about Danny in maintenance!!

Miss the original stage

After a 6 hr drive, already late for an event, couldn’t gain access to room until after 8pm. Plans shot. Was promised a resort credit I didn’t get. Room was dated, dirty, dusty, and smelled of pet urine. Was unable to get another room until next day but due to team schedule couldn’t get to front desk at 11, suffered thru another night when we returned, then, checked out early the next day. Was refused a credit because it was 11:50. Stood at counter 10 min before anyone came out.  It was a Horrible experience on many levels. No welcome cocktail, no lazy river pool, no indoor heated pool, and no restaurant. This was not resort living. Highly dissatisfied with no customer service given. Even after being promised comp.

Check in was an hour long wait with one person working the desk. The room was decent, but obviously old and only high spots cleaned. When we arrived there were no items left in the room for the kitchenette. You have to ask for them, bummer, We were given 2 towels and 3 wash clothes to share between 3 people. All of this could have been minimum problems if we were ever able to get in touch with the front desk, who in the 3 days of our stay NEVER answered the phone. This is a 15 floor hotel and NO ONE is ever seen . The 3rd night, my son got cold and cut on the heat in the 2nd half of the suite. This caused the air/heat unit to start smoking and set the fire alarms off. No one came to check, we had to sleep with the balcony door open. Not worth it.

Do not waste your money!

Arrived for 4pm check-in and was told room wasn't ready yet and it would be 20-30 minute wait. There were at least 20 other people in the lobby waiting for their room to be cleaned. Checked back in several times with same answer from host. The room was finally ready at 7PM! The manager offered a $20 credit for the inconvenience. Once inside the hallway rugs were old and dingy and the room was old and dated. Don't waste your time staying here as there are plenty of other places that are cleaner and run more efficiently. The manager should have at least offered a complete refund. I had driven 12 hours  and was just looking to relax at a quiet hotel. This place was packed with screaming kids and dirty conditions. Will never stay here again.

Poor customer service and accomodations

The room was barely cleaned, no blanket on the bed just two flat sheets, mold on the ceiling, bathroom fixtures, and kitchen fixtures. Coffee pot had used coffee from previous customers. They definitely need to clean better. The elevators STINK from not cleaning the mats properly

The location is GREAT!! However, THIS particular room was horrible!! 
Seriously if it was not for the location it would have been a 1 star.
We were on the 15th floor and the view was beautiful. 
Ill let the pictures be the description as i can just go on and on about all the things that were horrible.
Some items: Water leak in ceiling, sandy bed, broken and super dirty furniture, hole in the wall, outlets not working, old dingy outdated lights and lamps.
Also just saying that each individual room may be different as they are owned by different owners supposedly. 
Some serious Upgrades are needed. Especially if they charge well over $250 in the summer times and holidays.

The Sandcastle South Beach was OK. We were not able to check in early but able to after returning at check in time. The oceanfront efficiency was clean but a little on the worn side. The pools, lazy river & hot tubs were all nice and refreshing. Really liked the Woo Woo cocktail at the tiki bar. Parking was good attached to the hotel.

Alright Visit

Hotel was extremely dirty/nasty outdated. Rooms not cleaned,  bugs in bed. TV lamps didn't work. Front desk staff unfriendly not helpful.  Under staffed hotel
 No night or weekend manager present or on call. Not handicap friendly 

Worst hotel I've ever stay at.  Ruined my vacation

Every picture of the rooms is extremely deceitful. They are all run down, and dirty. Some rooms even having leaks, and broken AC units. The beach out front is full of cigarette butts. An parts the hotel itself wreak of cigarettes as well. Not to mention they had a "room check" during my stay where a man proceed to bang on the door repeatedly trying to get in. We told him countless times that we where in the room but he repeatedly tries to open the door. The only thing stopping him from coming in was the fact we had the extra lock on the door. Would not recommend, would not back.
