While it is a motel 6, the location is fantastic for fishing! 
Great for bringing the grandkids, and the staff is absolutely fantastic!!!
To give an example? I went through a 3rd party and was informed that doing that couldn't get me a room near the on-site fishing piers. When I called, the staff gave us rooms right next to them.  Later, AFTER the kids went to bed, I had one too many and hit the floor hard! The staff rushed to this idiots room and not only made sure I was OK, but took the time to get me everything I needed in the way of first aid. I know, it's a humiliating thing to write about,  but they REALLY wanted their guest to be OK. 
Most places would have called security or booted us. ( And? No, this is the first time I've done anything like that).
I can only say good things about this place!

The staff went over and above the whole stay!

Enjoyed my stay love the area especially being able to go fishing beds were comfortable restroom was clean besides the black stains on the wall will come back again. Needs more bath towels and wash cloths 

Good stay great staff

Great place to stay! The owner gave us a great price while waiting to buy our new home. Right next to a great fishing area. Plenty of hot water, clean rooms, great staff. People from the area fish from the dock and surrounding area as well as the hotel guest. Unfortunately the visiting locals leave trash and beer cans everywhere,along the shore the staff is is always hustling around cleaning. It's pretty awful people dont clean up after them self's. Over all it's a nice place to stay!

Great place!

We love this place. Able to fish right outside the hotel door. Great staff and service. Always willing to make arrangements for our upcoming stays. Large , clean rooms. And the swimming pool was refreshing.

Summer Coastal Trip

Good place to stay and better when you can BBQ and have a place all to Your Self..  we have been to corpus and this a better place Then all the Restaurant's around WE LOVED IT.. GOOD PLACE TO STAY IN...

one small roach on the fridge but thats all !! over all good place to stay...

It’s a budget motel. The floors are never really mopped, just spot cleaned with a sprayed microfiber dust mop, if you’re lucky. I asked for the mop and cleaned the floor myself with a towel. It was gross. Bring a swiffer. The redeeming factor is that on site fishing is allowed for hotel guests. It’s surrounded by water on two sides that makes for catching beautiful sunsets. We were traveling as a large group with people who liked to kick back, have a few drinks and pretend they were trying to catch fish. Ha ha. It’s even a popular place for locals who stay here to get away on a weekend fishing trip. Enjoy!

On site saltwater fishing for guests

The View is amazing BUT THE ROOMS NEED ATTENTION!! Room was not cleaned properly,  mold and meldew in bathrooms,  AC vent was CAKED with dust . I HAD to rinse it out in the shower to cool the room correctly. And the shower wouldn't drain clogged with trash and hairs. Not worth the $$$

Great views , Nasty Rooms

If you have to stay somewhere just for the night, then it will do, but it wasn't the cleanest. Our sheets and one of the pillows had red-brown stains, the carpet was filthy as were the floors in the bathroom and our 2 rooms had 1 roll of toilet paper between them. Cleanliness was awful, but if you don't mind that, the location was quiet on the water and the A/C and shower worked. There was no breakfast in the lobby, just some stale ceral. The staff was friendly though. 

Okay For a Stop But There are Other Options

Arrived at hotel, put over night bag in the room and went fishing, returned at 3.15 am and roach inside entrance door, went to restroom and 2 big roaches and another roach next to the bed. Called front office and they could not change to another room their only solution was to send a can of roach spray. Who wants to spray and stay in a room wit roaches?? Plus the room had mold and was not really clean. They had no solution and I had to leave around 3.45 am and drive  back to San Antonio.

Horrible place and bad customer service

When booking this room the caption for both rooms read, quadruple room and double room. I have booked many motels online and this motel was not explicitly clear on the quadruple room just being able to have 4 people and the double room just being able to have 2 people. Any motel that I have booked that said quadruple had four beds and a double room had two beds. Another downfall is one room had wacky wiring. Only half the outlets worked and the floor was buckling. The staff is rude, the place needs a complete overhaul. I give this place a 0 out of 10.
