Our cabin was exactly as advertised and it was everything we needed for our ski trip. It felt rustic and secluded, but was close to everything. The cabin was very clean and toasty warm! This was an amazing find for our family and two pups.
Cell service was no issue, the WiFi worked well.
The office was easy to communicate and work with. We will definitely be back!!

Rustic Mountain Charm

We stayed at Stowe Cabins with our 2 dogs at the end of January. The cabins are easily accessible to Waterbury and the village of Stowe. Off route 100, the access road winds up behind the Green Mountain Club about half a mile to the office. The road was plowed and sanded and easily navigated; the sidewalk to our cabin and the porch were shoveled. 

Upon entering, we noted that our cabin (#5) was warm, clean and without odors. The bathroom sink, tub and toilet were impeccably clean as was the kitchen sink and refrigerator. Bathroom towels and bedroom sheets were almost new (if not brand new). There are faint patches of grey on the ceiling. Mold? Maybe.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the full bed is a tight squeeze in the room. We pulled it away from the wall so we could get in and out on both sides. We did not use the bunk bedroom but it looks exactly like it does in the photos. 

Each bedroom has a shelving unit and a wall mounted pegboard for clothing. The bathroom also has shelves, a pegboard and lots of dry storage under the sink. This may be the place to store some of your luggage if there is not enough room elsewhere. There was plenty of hot water and the toilet flushed well each time.

The kitchen contains some really vintage dishes (some of which are chipped and cracked and should be replaced immediately) including dishes with metal edges that should not be used in a microwave. The drinking glasses were new and in good condition. There were 2 coffee mugs and a little milk pitcher that matched one of the coffee mugs. You may want to bring your own coffee mugs and/or travel mugs just because. There was a glass serving bowl, a colander, flatware and multiple cooking utensils. A washcloth and towel was provided for dish cleaning; if you prefer a sponge, bring your own. No kitchen paper products such as paper towels and napkins are provided (so again, bring your own). 

There is a good assortment of pots and pans in the cabinet; kitchen electronics include a multi-cup coffee pot (and filters), a toaster and a small microwave. The refrigerator is full sized. As noted in previous reviews, there is a sign above the sink advising cabin residents to wash dishware and utensils before use. This is a common-sense recommendation given that the owners do not have time to wash every single dish and utensil every time a cabin is turned over.

While there is not a lot of food storage space in the kitchen cabinets, the space above the refrigerator is ample. I stored most of my food in the refrigerator, whether it needed refrigeration or not because it was a convenient place. The dining table is adequate in size, an additional chair is available in the bunk bedroom.

Other reviewers mentioned seeing mouse droppings in their cabins but I saw no evidence of mice.

We traveled with 2 dogs and were delighted to find metal dog dishes under the sink. There were plenty of places to walk the dogs. While we allowed the dogs to roam about the cabin while we were there, we crated them while we were gone. We brought a couch protector to reduce dog hair on the couch.

The WiFi in the cabin worked just fine for us and we did not use the television.
Some reviewers have noted that the cost was high for what they were getting. Compare the nightly cost of a cabin with the nightly cost for other options in the area - and factor in the additional cost of pet accommodations (whether you bring them or board them). Add in the cost of going out for every meal (vs. eating "in" at the cabin. 

Yes, the cabin decor is outdated. Instead, enjoy the timeless decor outside. We were very happy with our stay and would return.

Suggestions for the owners:
---Purchase some plain Corelle dishes (plates, bowls, etc.) for each cabin. These are less likely to chip and break and can be used safely in the microwave.
___Provide more heavy duty coffee mugs for each cabin.
---Remove the curtains so that the simple and attractive window frames are in full view.The curtains serve no purpose because they do not fully cover the windows. All windows in the cabins have full blinds anyway. Less maintenance!

Wonderful price and location

Quiet cozy cabins in the woods between Stowe and Waterbury in Vermont's Green Mountains.  We stayed in the Hemlock (cabin #7) and was very surprised by how spacious the cabin was. There was a full sized bathroom and fully stocked kitchen. The cabin was very clean with a comfortable bed. Even though we stayed during the warmest week of the year, the combination of the window-unit air conditioner,  and 2 fans in the bedroom kept us nice and cool. If you do need supplies during your stay, it is only about 5 minutes to either Stowe or Waterbury.  Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Cozy, clean and comfortable cabins, highly recommended!

My husband and I were very excited for our stay in the poplar cabin at Stowe. Unfortunately we are from an area that is requiring quarantine right now prior to entering VT due to COVID So we had to sadly cancel our stay. Steve was so understanding of our need to cancel and we will definitely be booking a trip there in the future.

Wonderful customer service

Stayed in cabin 11 with my girlfriend. It was everything we could have hoped for. I would highly recommend this cabin to any couple looking for a getaway. Close to many attractions and hiking destinations. Very affordable.

Perfect 3 Night Stay

Best sleep of our whole vacation.  Stayed Friday and Saturday at height of the fall season so Stowe was packed with people.  We were glad to have the kitchenette. The host was very kind and attentive.  It was a peaceful and relaxing end to a hectic vacation.  Would definitely go back.

Quiet and serene

We stayed here for the first time this year. We loved it! We shared the 2 bedroom cabin with our friends. We had lots of room with a full kitchen and towels and bed linens provided. The cabin was so comfortable. There was a grill which we did not use and a nice patio for sitting outside. Ed, the owner, made a point of stopping by to see if we needed anything. Our dogs look bed it too! We will definitely be back!

A wonderful place to stay!

Very quaint and serene resort tucked away in the foothills just off the main highway! Easy accessibility to downtown with all the eateries, pubs and shops! I enjoyed my stay here very much and would definitely stay there again!

First Vermont Trip

We stayed in cabin 8 for 4 nights and loved it. If you are looking for a rustic experience and privacy, it's the place to go. I loved the little detail of the engraved soap. Good sized rooms, deck with grill and a nice host.

Will undoubtedly return

I really enjoy my stay here, It is tucked away but still in town. 
my cabin was the Birch which is, i believe i pretty basic one but still it has every thing you need. 
Customer service here was great! my boyfriend and i arrived just after noon and they let us check in with no issues.
My only con is the cleanliness. we literally had to go to the local Walmart to grab air freshener cause it just had a really bad smell. 
Overall, i do still recommend this place if you are not looking for anything fancy and enjoy a more rustic vibe.
