Dream Catcher Camp is located on the edge of the village of Tetebatu and the Mount Rinjani National Park. It is perfectly located if you intend trekking to the peak of Rinjani. Sam, the owner, and his friends offer TOTAL hospitality and are fully skilled in leading treks to the peak of Rinjani. His dogs are friendly and important members of the camp. Breakfasts are included, varied and use ingredients grown on the property. There are local warungs/restaurants close to the camp that offer a variety of Indonesian dishes. The accommodation would not be suitable to everyone doesn`t pretent to be, and doesn`t have an under-cover shower/toilet block but there is plenty to love about Dream Catcher ...........Sam`s care, efforts and those of his staff, peace and quiet, nights around the campfire, funny signs, plenty of humour, sharing, natural surroundings and plenty for you to discover. PICTURESQUE, PEACEFUL, INTERESTING ...........AND LOTS MORE !!!

If you want your own space, a locked door, privacy and a private bathroom, this isn’t the place for you! A really lovely place with super relaxed happy people who treat you like family on arrival. So laid back our hanging tent wasn’t ready haha.  Nothing really locks and everything that isn’t a hut has drop down cover from the rain but not the best if it’s hacking it down. Breakfast really well presented. Meals cooked communally, probably late, but done with smiles and laughter. You can easily get a guide from here to help you find the lush waterfall, trekking, town etc (as everything is a mission away you will probably need a moped or at least a map). Always tea and coffee! And two awesome awesome dogs. Beautiful views, funny signs everywhere. A creative haven. 
Not so plus points - absolutely no way can you come here if you are physically disabled. There’s tonnes of wobbly slippery steps, many hazards, no lights to your room in the dark, lots of creative but crazy things everywhere. BRING A TORCH!
The lack of security could bother some people who wouldn’t be aware of its hippie vibe till you arrived.
Also we got charged more than we were quoted when we booked a taxi with them. Too tired to argue it at the time. 
The tent structures are very basic, you get a bed and a blanket. Some simple LED lights would have made life so much easier. 
Also, on arrival we just wanted to sit in our rooms and chill. But our rooms weren’t ready (even though they should have been) and we ended up on some tour from the guy staying there, where we swam in a waterfall (lush) and visited some bamboo village and felt like we had to buy something, were taken to the town but had to pay for the moped. We just wanted to chill that day not get shuttled around! But all in all a fun experience. 
The guides there took us on a two day hike, in my opinion it was too expensive. The views would have been better if it weren’t so rainy, but that’s fine I understand that. But generally the quality of it wasn’t so good. Bad tents, wet sleeping bags, average food, lovely guides but not very good at starting fires, slow at walking, generally not the best for the job maybe?

A beautiful family, don’t expect any privacy here! 

Very nice people with big hearts and happy. The presentation and the taste of the breakfast was oau. The dogs are lovely and they can really fin monkeys in the forest :)))
The accommodation is nice in the middle of forest vegetation and you have the feeling that you are in alice in wonderland :))

dream trip

Only spent a day and a night here, but wished we could have stayed longer. The family that run it are so helpful and hospitable and they will accommodate any needs or requests, including pickups and help with tours or equipment hire. 

Super chilled vibe where everything happens at its own pace! Lovely dogs too :)

Such a friendly and laid back place!

Dream Catcher Camp is the most beautiful place for nature lovers. Sam, the owner, fulfilled a real dream here. The camp is located in beautiful nature with a great view. Located as close to the national park as possible, the camp is the perfect starting point for hikes and nature experiences.
Everything is very basic (in a good way!) and original, that's what makes it so special. Bathroom and toilet are open air. Out of the shower comes nice cool spring water without chemicals in it. The rooms are tiny huts equipped with matresses. Although the weather was bad, me and my "at-this-time-not-yet-but-now-boyfriend" spent a perfect day at the common area making dreamcatchers and hanging out with amazing people. It felt like family after only a few hours. Sam is very caring, friendly, funny and one of the nicest persons I've ever met. The guests staying here are probably on the same wavelength so you will always have someone to have interesting conversations with.
Careful: Falling in love is very likely :)
