We stayed briefly for 12 hours until our room is ready. This hotel is very basic. No AC and bathroom is very old. Definitely for travelers on budget. Lobby is old. Sheets and room are old. Bathroom leaks. Just issues all around. Dont think i will come again.

Short and unplanned stay

I must say that in all my life, this was the worst experience in a hotel.
The hotel is old, but if it's clean I don't mind it being old but no... IT WAS DISGUSTING.
We got a free drink when we arrived, which was nice and all the staff including reception, bellman and restaurant were really nice.
We got our rooms and it looked clean, it looked ok but here comes the ugly part... We were getting ready for bed and.. There was blood on the sheets... I WOULD HAVE NEVER IMAGINE FINDING THAT. That is way too much and is super gross and insanitary, that's crossing the line, I wouldn't be surprise if I had found hairs but BLOOD? ARE YOU KIDDING? 

We called reception so they could give us another room but they said they didn't had any and send the bellman with clean sheets so "I COULD CHANGE THEM IF I WANTED", not in a rude way, but still... I WAS SHOCKED, for real? I aint paying money for a room service and then doing someone else's job, that was a bad move from the staff. I WASN'T GOING TO TOUCH THE SHEETS, that's the cleaning person job, not mine. I tried to deal with it but I was so upset I called again saying that I couldn't sleep there and I couldn't even get a bite of my dinner and that I could get a disease from it and they changed me to another room (no rooms, eh?) which was a bit ok, a couple hairs in the bathroom and I checked the beds and they smelled a bit clean, like soap but then the bellman told us he made a mistake, that that room was out of service because of the door knob not working, anyone could open the door.

 I was so upset because it was already midnight, I was so tired from all the travel and I needed to wake up in the morning at 6 am.
I would have asked for a refund and get the hell out of there but I feared for my safety since I'm not from Mexico City and it was a weekend night, where could I go? It was a huge risk. 
They changed us to another room finally but it wasn't 100% clean and the beds didn't smell like they were washed like in the other room, neither did the pillows, I didn't sleep well thinking about that. 

In the morning we had breakfast (buffet) and it was good, not a lot of variety but it was enough of everything to fill my belly, I loved the chicharrón, delicious! 

Honestly, the hotel is in an excellent location, awesome for events in Expo Reforma and in a walking distance to the Calle Alameda, its a few meters away from Reforma and there is a 7 Eleven and Oxxo nearby, which always come in handy but... 

I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS HOTEL, NEITHER DO I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

I think that the normal thing to do was getting a refund but of course, they were not going to do that, and I hope they fire the lazy af housekeeper that was supposed to be in charge of that "bloody room".

Bloody nightmare...

As soon as I checked in the people at the front desk were rude, careless and irresponsible, they didn't care at all about the guests, they were so mean to the point they would ignore you! I was standing there being ignored while they were counting their tips! Unbelievable. I had reserved a king room for two and they gave me a double room with two beds. They accepted to change me to a suite at the end but with the condition that we didn't use the jacuzzi! How were they even going to know if we used it or not? Wow ( that's how they treat you at this place, they make you feel bad, awkward and uncomfortable, exactly the opposite of how it should be) I was pissed by then and when we got to the "suite" it was just in terrible condition. The carpet was stained and dirty, everything is really old and needs maintenance. There was a couch in the room that was literally ripped apart and the pieces were there, all over the floor! And the "jacuzzi" didn't even work. Then, since it was the 10th floor, it was really cold and there was no heater but the bed only had a tiny little blanket, really, like an individual baby blanket for a king bed! Anyway, the next day we had breakfast there since it was included and they told us they served it till 11 am so we got there like 30 minutes before eleven and there was no more food, so we asked the person in charge and she was so mean and said that they were not bringing any more food( there were just a couple of toasts left) and that we should actually  hurry because she was going to pick that up in 10 minutes! She really said it like that, actually worse because she was really aggressive! I couldn't believe it. The next day we had breakfast there again earlier hoping there was going to be food this time and there was but the same lady from the day before, oh boy she was unbelievable, she was really trying to make the gusts feel bad, she got upset because we change to another table since it was really cold where we were sitting and she told us in a very disrespectful way not to do it! I cannot think of a worse experience anywhere. Because of this person I will never go back to this hotel and I recommend you not to choose this place either since you're bound to have a terrible time with the staff. 

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because of the Location which is good but you can find better options pretty much anywhere else.

Terrible experience. Worst customer service ever

This is a budget hotel, and you will get your money's worth. I spent 6 nights here from Christmas to New Year’s Eve, which cost 3,660 pesos. 
The hotel's facility is rather basic. My room at 8th floor is bit noisy, since it is close to the road. The good things about the hotel is the following: first, it has good location. It is 50 meters off the most famous road, Reforma, and the red light sign "Hotel" is visible from afar. It is about 8-minute walk to Metro Juarez or about 10-minute to Metro Hidalgo. Second, the breakfast is great. It has scrambled eggs, one meat dish, bean, bread, juice, fruit, and others. Third, the staff may not speak English well, but they are nice and understand what you want. You can use a safe at the front desk. So you feel secure here. Fourth, it is near some places, which will you’re your life easier. There is OXXO nearby, and on my way to Juarez, there are many street food stands. The night before I left, I tried two tacos with pork, bean, and vegetable and pickles. Each cost 25 pesos, and they were delicious. Finally, it is convenient and reasonably priced to make a day trip from here. I made one to Puebla and one to Taxco, each for 680 pesos. I asked them after my breakfast after 8, and I was picked up around 9:15.

get your money's worth

Okay, the location is great because it's just 100 meters from Reforma and perhaps 400 meters from the Alameda. Also the metrobus has a stop right there on Donato Guerra Street and that can get you, with transfers, to any part of the city. My room cost included a buffet breakfast which was indeed very good. I did find it distressing to see how greedy people are at those buffets. I saw one man who returned to his table with two heaping plates, one with fruit and the other with the usual eggs, beef in gravy, chilaquiles, beans, etc. How he managed to get them to his table without spilling is a mystery. Even a glutton could not eat that much food. Another day I was the only one at the buffet and got my plate from the right side, then moved left to the tray with beef in gravy, then edged left again to the scrambled eggs and that's when I bumped into an eager fellow who jumped the line instead of following me. I was so disgusted I just told him in Spanish "Just go for it!" and I just stepped back and waited for him to get out the way. He then said something in English and I knew he was American. I also saw a kid running back several times with plates of bread and I know he and his family could not eat all that in one sitting. He must have been stuffing it in his backpack. 

Okay, the food is really good if you can deal with the lower classes in the dining room. That's a positive aspect. A negative aspect is that the hotel is noticeably run down with age. It would seem the fellow who maintains it just can't keep up with the slow deterioration. In my room there was only one electrical outlet and it was under the desk. If you want to charge your gadgets you have to crawl under the desk on hands and knees to plug it in. But of course you can't use the TV then because that single outlet is used for the TV. One hint I'd offer is to always travel with a 3-way electrical adapter so that you can use the TV and charge your gadgets too. 

Oh, one more thing. When I checked into the room I saw that the chair behind the desk was broken. I called the desk and they said they'd send somebody up. When he arrived he just popped back the missing braces and I said he should probably do so with some glue. He said no problem, the chair will be fine. He then sat in it to test it and the braces separated again. Hmmm. He told me it was safe after he tested it. During my entire stay I was online a lot and feared at any moment my chair would collapse under me. I will add a photo of the chair and the single electrical outlet for your enjoyment.
