We booked this hotel through hotel.com
We paid via paypal.
When we arrived they told us that they only accept cash because the company doesn't pay them!
I told them I already prepaid and they said they will call hotel.com to get my money back.
They asked me to give them the company's phone number, which of course I didn't have. They finally managed to get in touch and told me they fixed it and I would get my money back.
I suggested they give me their bank account and deposit it with them when I get my money back and they said they don't have it!
After that I got up and left and went to another hotel very irritated.
To be honest I got a message from hotel.com that the money will be refunded.
But I am a customer and I don't care if the hotel has a problem with the company. When I book a room and pay in advance, I want when I arrive, after a tiring journey, to be given the keys and go to rest.
Unfortunately, some people don't understand the obvious.

Suffering

This is place is an absolute gem! Perfect for a get away! We had originally planned to stay just 2 nights but ended staying double! Lovely hospitality from the lovely host Harikla and her great husband, fantastic location and great bang for buck. Would I go back? Absolutely!

They tried to scam us on Ai**nb by advertising a low price. When the reservation was alteady accepted and paid, they said we should pay extra, which was never explained on the announcement. Luckily we could get our money back.

this small guest house is very beautiful and has great people in! the rooms and the furniture are comfortable, the staff is very helpful! the food is very taste and good product. also the location is perfect

perfect place

Prepare to be received like family.  The property is comfortable and has a great view of the mountains on the other side of the valley, but beware if you have mobility issues, because there are steep stairs to navigate.  The rooms are better than average for a guesthouse, but you will have to deal with the shared bath situation.  One bath serves two or three rooms, which share a common area.  It would be a good option for a family or larger group of friends, however.  We enjoyed the proprietor's raku, and the breakfast was typical but better-prepared than is typical.  Nice dogs, too.

The food itself had an artistic value.  We were treated with a beautiful dessert, on the house.

Guest house Bake was everything we could have hoped for: unbelievably friendly hosts, delicious food, a glorious view, and very reasonable prices. 

The guest house also has protected parking (though after a somewhat harrowing drive). 

We looked at several other places and couldn't believe how lucky we were to find guest house Bake. It was really the highlight of our Balkan tour.

A perfect spot

Owners are very friendly and forthcoming.
Beds very comfortable.
View is stunning and great to have breakfast.
The decoration is beautiful as well, and parking is no issue at all. We were relieved to have parking at the property in a city like Gjirokaster :P

Unique view of a unique town

I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a real Albanian experience! Family owned with great service. They made me feel at home and were able to help answer all my questions! They also made me a traditional Albanian dessert that was waiting for me when I came home from dinner, it was so good! 

Wifi works well, comfy beds and easy to get to the historical sites.
