I originally had booked somewhere else, but I mistook the address for being in the centre, when I arrived off the bus in Korçe I found out that it was actually 40 minutes out the centre via walk which was unacceptable. I stumbled upon this hostel (The only available option on hostelworld at the time and most reasonably priced). I arrived unexpected and was immediately taken in to my room and had a meal prepared for me (I had an extremely bad day and hadn't eaten for over 8 hours with stomach hunger pains). The room was warm, the bed was comfy, the hosts were very nice, the daughter spoke English well, mother not but father spoke relatively well English and was always eager to improve his speaking skills with me. It was very much a family environment like I was part of the family. Nice breakfast in morning every morning too. We also played card games together.

The only thing that annoyed me though, was that my bedroom was by all means, practically and aesthetically, a main living room lounge with a bed in it, used for the family to gather and sit, talk and watch TV all afternoon and evening in. 

For an extremely introverted person such as myself that likes his privacy, I felt uncomfortable. I'm sure the family had good intentions with making me want to feel part of the family, but I felt i had no privacy whatsoever until it was time for them to go to bed. I found myself wanting to stay out the hostel more than return because I knew I wouldn't get any alone time. 

On my last day I was out all day from early maybe 9am and I did not return until maybe 8pm at night, I had hoped to return to the hostel, snuggle up in my bed, relax and watch TV under the comfort of my covers only to find when I returned at 8pm they were all sitting in what was my bedroom all the way up to 1130pm, naturally I did not want to be rude and suggest to be alone.

Very nice family home.

As our title already says we highly recomment this hostel! You won't regret it! :)
Xharshe and Adriana are very friendly and nice and kind...
The rooms are clean and with everything you need. There is a small kitchen you can use and a relaxing area.
Have fun and enjoy your stay here at the hostel.

If you go to albania this is a MUST!

My friend and I had a really comfortable stay in the hostel. All the family is really welcoming and helpful. If you are traveling nearby we totally recommend you to stay there :) greetings to everyone!

Friendly family and comfortable stay

Great plus of this accommodation is the extremely friendly family that runs it. I was welcomed with a raki drink and even invited for dinner without extra charge. We had nice talks so I learned a lot about the family, the local culture and the history of Albania. An experience that I won't forget easily. Highly recommended! :-) :-) :-)

Great stay with very hospitable family

The all family is very welcoming and if you'd like to discover the real things, have some Raki with Xhafer and he will explain you everything about the city and its way of life. I highly recommend this place !
