I stayed in a hotel recently and I think that a hotel would have a high categorization, it is not enough to have only a swimming pool, but above all normal meals and decent equipment, which is not the case in this hotel. As others have mentioned, breakfast is terrible and is served on a small table, where something is constantly missing, despite the already scarce offer. I have never experienced that the buffet does not offer tea and coffee (at least a filter) and that all 10 days there are no changes in the range, but already terrible. There was no talk about ham and cheese, but there were pieces of bread in a hundred ways. The unkind landlady was hanging around all the time and as if in a hurry to fill in the empty plates that were not big enough. Breakfast lasted an hour, but after half an hour, not even half of the food was on the so-called buffet. In a word, sad and rude, because the price of bed and breakfast is not lower at all than a hotel with a better offer. The behavior of the landlady is not even at the level of the lowest categorized persons, and we have often witnessed bitter quarrels with the staff, physical confrontations between her and her husband with unknown visitors, and she scared us as if we were all disgusting to her. The air conditioning and tv were faulty. The air conditioning was replaced when we advertised it and the TV remained unwashed. Despite the beautiful location by the sea, the impression was spoiled by the cold water in that part of Saranda, due to the proximity of the river Bistrica, so we did not fully use that advantage because we were looking for beaches near the warmer parts of the sea. All in all the price-quality ratio is extremely disproportionate and we would never return to this hotel again.

Overestimated categorization

I was so happy for visiting Saranda this summer I thought I choose the best place for my family and my. We went to this hotel and the lady told us the price 135 per night and we payed for 4 nights cash. She said we need to wait till 2:00 pm because the room needs to be cleaned we asked for a family room which she was agreed. After that she send us in a very small room with SMELL OF THE MOLD , CABELS OUT OF THE WALL, ANTS, the AIR CONDITIONER not working at all with the temperature 38-39 degrees outside, the smell of the bed sheets and the towels was to vomit, the very old tv standing on the wall was almost falling down. 
So we decided to stay on the beach till dinner time which was from 8:00 till 8:30 pm only as lady said. The dinner was not tasty at  all food in one plate and only bottle of water.
My husband decided to speak to the owners the guy and the lady they been so arrogant and unprofessional for a owners they told my husband to shut down or they can call the “boy’s “ to kick us out. 
The next morning the breakfast again with limited time was same as dinner only one orange juice as they said but because I have a allergic of orange they said I need to pay for another drink.  
After that we decided to leave and luckily we found a much better place with less money and we continue our holiday.

AVOID THIS PLEASE

We went to this so called hotel and they tricked us to pay for 3 nights before we have seen the room(excuse was that room is being cleaned).After we came back to hotel later I took the keyes went to my room it was very small and dirty old room,mould in bathroom,air con wasnt working and electric live wires were hanging around out the wall(thats dangerous).I complained and the owner(bandit style so called business man) started to threaten to kick me out of the hotel using some "qunat".I was very angry how this can happen in the middle of Saranda(I love this city).I wrote email to the Mayor of Saranda and lets see how will be response.I managed to.get money back for other 2 nights,but they refused to pay back for 1st night and we had to stay one night there Food was very bad,especially the dinner.Next day we left straight away and came to Saranda International Hotel(lovely high standard hotel,130 euro per night for 3 people and is worthy every cent compared to that rubbish Perla hotel.

Horrible hotel

if you go to Saranda you experience the city, the sun and the sea. You go there for the atmosphere, not to find italy or any other rich country in the world. You find no big resorts but small family hotels which work at most 3 months in summer time. You can't pretend to find a high professional staff, and there is a very big stupidity to think that you may find Hilton Hotel in Saranda. People think a little bit And do not cause problems where there are not. The problem is you not the structure in Saranda. If you didn't like Saranda at all, you have the holy choice not to go back again, but it is an evil soul to write bad things because most probably you are lying to. Evil people even if they are in NY City will find something to be unhappy and to complain. Try to be practical and enjoy your  vacations even if you are in the middle of the jungle or on top of the mountain circled by the bears....

If you want to ruin your holidays go there,but if u don't ,avoid it.we went there as a group this month on June2018 we made a reservation throught a travel agency and we arrived there 7:45 am but we didn't get a room till 2:00pm because they said the rooms were being cleaned so we waited on the lobby of the hotel for 6 hours and everything was old and not well cleaned the food was a disaster especially dinner we had to eat everyday one small chicken fillet or a chicken leg and one day they  served us pork evetho we were muslims they didn't care that we don't eat pork meat and they didn't brought us anything else to eat.

Avoid this hotel

+ good location for travel: between the center of Saranda and Ksamil, not far from Butrint, close to the sea (first line), 
+ free wifi 
+ daily cleaning
+ hearty breakfast 
- it is located close to the night disco bar, loud music is playing from 00:00 till 4:00 a.m. and after - traffic and people noise 
- only milk and fruit (not fresh juice) drink for breakfast  
- it is prohibited to eat in the rooms 
- there is a parking of water bikes in the sea

There are pros and cons

Which to start with... only nice thing in this hotel is localization near the beach. Everything else is just hidious and unacceptable! My review is written not from myself only, but from all group of 15 people we have been there for 10 days, so I know for sure that there is no exception from what I write in other room, etc.
Rooms are very low standard, tv is not working or has got 1 or 2 channels only! no cable tv!!! air condition is leaking all the time. fridge is small but it doesn't matter cause owner of hotel doesn't allow any food in the room! (because of ants) and no alcohol from outside the hotel! (cleaning ladies has permission to take them from your room) THIS IS CRAZY!!!
But THE WORST are bathrooms... all water goes out of the bathroom and floods the room cause there is no paddling, just shower over toilet seat, which is DISGUSTING!!! Everywhere bad smell, fungus... total DISASTER! No soap etc., towels are old stained and with holes are just addition.
Ocean view from side balconies is a joke :| also WI-FI doesn't work in half of the building!!! only left sided rooms got wi fi, other don't. To be honest the only place where you got signal working properly is lobby and pool. There is no WI-FI on the beach!!! don't be fooled! :|
Breakfast... hahahahaha... can't even describe it! No tea or coffee!!! Never seen something like that in my life even in 3rd world countries :|
No ham or cheese, just some burnt sausages cut into tiny pieces and pancakes which was only thing that you could actually eat without being sick after.
Beach is rocky and sunbeds are old and destroyed.
Cherry on the cake is the owner lady... never seen so unpleasant, agressive, mean, ignorant and arogant person!!! I could write here a lot about here, but to describe her as a person is one thing... she calls her hotel guests as "clients"... that should show you the picture. Money is only thing she is interested in.
She says that it is her hotel and she has her own rules and you agree or get out - her own words.
So... AVOID AVOID AVOID !!! NEVER EVER EVER EVER GO THERE !!! EVEN for FREE!!!
Much better choice for this price is Saranda International which is next to it or Alpha apartments a little bit higher on the road.

The Hotel is situated around 10 minutes with taxi from the port. The people in Albania is very friendly and they will call a taxi or a friend for you when you arrive. It can be hard to find the hotel by foot the first time. 
La Perla has a nice beach and a good athmosphere. The owner is really friendly and helpful and so are the staff. The beach have sunbeds for free and we would rather stay there than by the pool.
