A belated review from a week-long stay at MonarC Hotel in Tirana, because it was a lovely, lovely hotel and I want to recommend it to others. I was sick for part of my stay and so had to stay in my room a bit more than average, so I really got to know it!

My room was large and immaculate. Very clean. Wonderfully comfortable bed and great bathroom. Beautifully appointed room with a desk, dark, dramatic colors that were pretty, a winding staircase up (or if you prefer to take the elevator of course there is one too), and a breakfast area that is beautiful. Every day the breakfast came by way of room service and was wonderful. The front desk staff were young and eager to assist. And it's probably the best location in Tirana, although it's a little loud at this particular intersection (lots of honking) and next time I would ask for a room further away from the front windows. But the location made Tirana even better as you can just walk literally everywhere, even if feeling a bit under the weather like I was -- I saw all of the main attractions and then some. It's also pretty close to the bus stop if you are going further, as I was hoping (but my illness sent me home early). 

I also appreciated that it was across from a park to sit and a mall with a great supermarket in the basement, plus an air conditioned cut-through that was appreciated in the heat of summer. 

Definitely a wonderful hotel that was most unexpected. 

Beautiful boutique hotel in the center of Tirana: a sense of affordable luxury

Stayed here for three nights on recent trip to Tirana 

Check in was fast and smooth

Was upgraded to deluxe king with jacuzzi ( never used it!)
Room was spacious and really comfortable….bed was excellent too 

Staff very friendly and very helpful with taxis etc 

Sadly I never got to the bar Or the restaurant  but I’d imagine they were pretty good judging by the rest of the hotel 

Hotel was in a great central location only a few mins walk from bars and restaurants 

Great experience overall and I’d certainly use again on any future trips to Tirana

Excellent choice in Tirana

This hotel is conveniently located in Tirana, Albania. For example, it is a nine-minute walk to Skanderbeg Square. It is relatively small and the staff is able to provide personal attention. The free breakfast was great. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was very modern.

Good choice in Tirana

I stayed 5 nights at Monarc hotel. The location is great, it's close to the city center and just a few minutes to the Tirana lake. The staff are very helpful. One lady (I forgot her name) in particular, she helped me contact the tour company who was supposed to do my day tour to Kruja castle. There's a good selection of items to choose from the breakfast menu. Due to covid, they don't use their restaurant anymore but instead you're given the list of items then you call the front desk in the morning and they will prepare and deliver to your room. The room and the corridor is very clean. The rooms have a hardwood floor. 
 


Pleasant stay at Monarc hotel 

I’ve been to 133 countries, and have stayed in a ton of hotels. MonarC is one of the best! Super clean rooms, great location (right by the central area and a ton of restaurants) and, most importantly, such a friendly staff! I said that I had sun burn, and they gave me free yogurt to help with the pain (who would have guessed!).They also helped arrange transport to Macedonia and Kosovo and were generally super nice and amazing. Highly recommend!

Perfect hotel!

The hotel allowed us to checkin about 5 hours early the staff were brilliant in every way. The room was beautiful and clean ... and the view... breakfast was fab the hotel bar was cheaper than most places so all in all excellent all round.

Amazing experience

I last stayed at MonarC in 2016 and for my 2019 trip to Albania I was pretty certain I wanted to stay at the same hotel again, hoping my pleasant experience from back then would be repeated. I'm happy to report my hopes were completely fulfilled, this is still an excellent hotel and everything I wrote in my 2016 5-star review still holds true. I won't repeat myself other than to say that this is one of the most pleasant hotels I've ever stayed at. Strongly recommend. A warm thank you for Ornela and the other front desk staff for going out of their way to make our stay great.

I'm happy I came back here again

What a place for absolutely gorgeous food. We had heard from friends that you can eat excellent meat in this restaurant. Well there was nothing to complain about the lamb in oven where licking your fingers. We had very friendly waiter.Has been a great evening. Very good food and super service. I WILL BE BACK.

Pearler of a feed

The MonarC is a lovely boutique hotel in a central location. All the most important sights are walking distance. Plenty of nice toiletries are provided and replenished daily. The a/c works perfectly. A kettle, a few tea bags and two crunchy cookies are also provided. There is a safety deposit box, mini bar, slippers and bath robes.

Breakfast is adequate and cooked to order eggs are available and delicious. You can order cappuccino and decaf coffee as well.

The best asset of this hotel is the staff. Special thanks to Sela and Orlena, at reception,  who helped us more than once, with issues not related to the hotel itself. Adria Airlines went bankrupt and we needed to purchase new flights and change date of departure. They made phone call for us. They also provided directions for sightseeing in the city as well as recommendations for restaurants.

The hotel also provides complimentary parking nearby and easy to access. 
Definitely recommended.



 Excellent staff!

Amor Laaribi stayed in this hotel, 12-27 August 2019 and wrote the following:
This is a very well run hotel, like a family-run one. All staff members are friendly and welcoming from receptionists to waiters…until manager. My best time at the hotel is my breakfast at the restaurant where the food is simple but fresh, and if you request a different menu they will accommodate you. I would like to single out the waiter Emir and the receptionist Ornella, as they are always smiling and friendly, as well as the manager who is caring and didn’t mind to help carry my luggage and put in the taxi taking me to the airport. The hotel has undergone a revamp over the last year, and it is well located: nearby the old Tirana and within walking distance to the modern downtown. In one word, I recommend this small hotel but cozy, a top choice for people in search of an affordable hotel where they feel comfortable and almost at home.
