Pretty good stay for solo person.  Did not need much from this stay and was pleased to be in a well equipped place.  Balcony was great.  Kitchen and WiFi were excellent.  Easy walk to beach.  Suggest having a car and then you will never feel isolated

Nice stay - near great beach and good restaurants

First trip to Anguilla and I lucked out finding Millys Inn , super location a couple minutes walk to Shoal Bay beach. The apt I had which was an upstairs unit was spacious and spotlessly clean with a wonderful porch over looking Shoal Bay. I went in mid August and although there is no AC there is actually no need for one as you get a great breese throughout the apartment. Apryl the manager was super helpful throughout and Fredrica the house keeper is amazing , already planning my next stay at Milly's 

Wonderful place to stay !

We are very fortunate to be spending our Christmas break at Milly's. This is our second stay here and we love it just as much as the first. Maybe even more. We've come to think of it as our home away from home. It is just so comfortable and spacious. (A full apartment with covered outdoor seating area.) It feels so open and airy and the Anguilla breezes keep it the perfect temp, even without air conditioning. Fredrica, the housekeeper, greets us with a smile every morning. Apryl, the reservations manager, is always pleasant, professional, and quick to respond to any inquiries. And even though it is only a five minute walk to one of the best beaches on Anguilla (Shoal Bay East), the rates fit any traveler's budget. We are so thankful for this as, otherwise, we would not be able to enjoy this beautiful island and all it has to offer. This visit, we were able to bring friends to stay at Milly's as well. They loved Milly's as much as we do and completely understood why it is the only place we wish to stay when visiting. They hope to be able to return for a longer visit next winter. Milly's has everything that matters to us. It has history (a quick Google search will give you the story of Milly herself, an amazing woman). It has spacious apartments (a real plus when so many places can feel so small, especially for longer stays). It has location (a short walk or drive from the best part of Shoal Bay East). And it has value (it costs a fraction of what the resorts charge). It's clean, well-equipped, local, and a short drive to a good market, a great bakery, and some other quality dining options (all in Island Harbor). We truly love everything about it and it's no wonder we consider it to be our home away from home. [Footnote: the current location listed on Google Maps for Milly's is incorrect. You access it directly from the road to Island Harbor. Take a right to stay on the main road (before descending down towards Madeariman). There is a large sign along the road to guide you.]

The perfect place for us

We just completed a three night stay at Milly's Inn and have to write about how much we loved it. It was the perfect place for us. It is  within easy walking distance to Shoal Bay, which is our favorite beach on Anguilla. Fredrica (the housekeeper) keeps the place spotless and shows up every morning to see if you need anything. She showed us the footpath to the beach from Milly's (which, after a 5 minute walk, comes out at Elodia's on the beach). We loved Elodia's (as well as the beach directly in front of it) and spent the majority  of every day there. Milly's was so clean and comfortable. It felt like being in someone's home. We had everything we needed and there were so many nice touches as well (like fresh flowers on the table, ice ready for us in the freezer, bottles of water in the fridge upon our arrival, beach towels neatly rolled and ready for use, etc.) And it's a full kitchen. You don't need to bring a thing. Every kitchen convenience you could want on a holiday is already there and available to you. There is no a/c but the strong sea breezes kept us plenty cool. We were in an upstairs unit and we could see Shoal Bay from our balcony. Milly's was safe and quiet and convenient and well-managed. Apryl was absolutely amazing and she always replied to my messages quickly. She and Fredrica were always looking out for us and we very much appreciated them both. When we return to Anguilla, we will stay at Milly's again. We can't imagine staying anywhere else. It was absolutely perfect for us and has a genuine, local feel.  Plus, Milly's is a great value in Anguilla (an otherwise fairly expensive island). Just FYI, the following places are highly recommended and within either easy walking or driving distance from Milly's: Le Bon Pain for breakfast (5 minute drive), Elodia's for lunch (strong drinks and tasty fish bites), Artisan for dinner (a stone's throw from Le Bon Pain). Plus, there is a small super market just past Artisan where you can easily stock up on all the basics. A few more reasons to give Milly's a try.

Milly's is our home away from home

We spent 4 weeks at Milly's Inn last March and 2 weeks the year before. The apartment was spotlessly clean thanks to Fredrika who, other than Sunday, is on site daily. The beds were comfortable and I can attest to that because I tried the other units as well. We are very particular about beds. Linens were always fresh and clean.  Every morning we prepared breakfast which was enjoyed on the terrace and when we didn't have lunch at Eloidia's on the beach it was just a quick 3 min walk back to Milly's for lunch. The breezes are steady, air conditioning is not required, fans were enough and often not required.  There is a safe in each room.
I consider Milly's the best kept secret on Anguilla if you like simplicity, peace & quiet, cleanliness and proximity to one of the best beaches in the world and not to mention affordability. You will, however, need a car.

We LOVE Milly's Inn.

Anguilla got a direct hit and they really suffered heavy damage to many buildings. 180 MPH winds tore the roofs off many buildings, including one of the schools. 
The good news:  Electricity is now back on for most of the island. 

Being on the lee side of the island, Millie's Inn did not get as much of the terrible wind that the windward side of the island got. (The beach is still OK.)
But they lost part of the roof, the rooms got soaked, most of the furniture is ruined. Some of the doors and windows got blown off too. The little office got de-roofed. 
So there is no way they can get ready for this winters vacation people, like those of us who already had our reservations.
We chose to donate our vacation down payment for them to use towards repairs. 

But hang in there everybody, Millie's Inn will be back as soon as they can, and we will be there!

The Anguillans are very hard working and resourceful people and hopefully this storm damage will be taken care of very soon.
