We booked Villa Cardon for a reasonably priced 1 night stopover on our way from Salta to Cafayate. To be honest we weren't expecting too much for the price but the hotel more than exceeded our expectations.

Although small (with only 2 or 3 rooms I believe), the rooms are large with a big double bed & a little bathroom. The rooms are a little dark, but open up to a small courtyard, which was nice to sit in with a copa de vino & enjoy the sun.

What really set this hotel apart for us was the staff, they were really friendly & helpful and at least one spoke very good English.

Breakfast is included & served in a small but charming little cafe area near the entrance, which also sells cakes, wine, coffee etc the rest of the day. The food was good & included home made breads & jams at breakfast.

Cachi itself is a lovely & quiet little town surrounded by mountains, that was perfect for a stopover on the way to Cafayate. The hotel was also just a couple of minutes walk to the plaza where there are few restaurants & church etc, which was handy.

There is a really friendly little cat that likes to come into the room & we even found him / her drinking out of the bathroom sink once, which made us laugh. We are cat people though so didn't mind at all & thought it was funny.

Highly recommended for a stopover or longer at a great price!

Exceeded expectations & really enjoyed our stay at Villa Cardon in Cachi!

Cachi is an amazing town. The Hosteria Villa Cardon has a great location, meters from the main road and plaza, an area with many attractions. The hotel is built in the traditional style of the colonial period. It's a true boutique place with only 4 beautifully decorated rooms. Service is friendly and helpful; for example they welcomed us with a couple of large freshly squeezed orange juices. It has its own small cafe that serves the most wonderful breakfasts and dinners to guests, sampling local delicacies combined with freshly baked breads and delicious local wines. Best place to stay in Cachi !!!

We really liked this Hosteria. With friendly staff and spacious rooms. It really honored the region (for example using cactuses in the ceiling). The breakfast is simple but freshly eggs are baked for you if wanted. It is clean. They even offered a welcome drink. That was nice. Maybe a bit improvement on their WiFi. In case you are with a car, you can park in front of the Hosteria.

Cozy well decorated rooms

We spent 1 night here and really liked it. The owner was very nice and there is a very friendly cat that wanted to come into our room! Very short walk into centre of town for dinner and very peaceful at night. Tasty breakfast, lots of free street parking right outside. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Cachi!

Very sweet hotel with nice owner and friendly cat!

The hotel has been very well designed and built. The rooms are very comfortable, I traveled with my partner and our kids. The four of us slept very comfortably and had a wonderful breakfast in the morning. 
Most restaurants are a block away from the hotel and the central plaza with the market is too. 
A very nice place to stay. 

A feel of the Mediterranean in a tiny town of Argentina

Cute place with only a few rooms, which makes you feel like home. The room was big and had two portable heaters, as it gets really cold at night! They serve a simple but very fresh and tasty breakfast. 

Lovely place, feels like home

We spent here 1 night. Room is very clean and nicely decorated. Host is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not super huge but we found it sufficient: fresh orange juice, coffee, home bread with butter and jam, fruits.
Definitely recommend this place.

Very nice hotel

We were very happy to stay here. The rooms are comfortable and simple with beautiful high wooden ceilings, nice furnishings and clean bathroom. Very pretty garden courtyard and decent breakfast. Good location 

Nice Hosteria

We booked this Hosteria based on TA reviews and we were not disappointed. Excellent sleep, clean, everything we needed, close to the centre of town and a great breakfast. Parking was on the street but wasn't a problem.Could have stayed longer as Cachi is a very pleasant town.

As per other TA reviews

I'm so glad we stayed in this charming and unique hosteria. The rooms (4, I think) are clustered around a sweet courtyard full of flowers.  Candles are lit outside each door at night. Our room was very large and the beds were fantastic. Space heaters helped take the chill out of the air. I really loved the decor - stark white adobe walls, and cactus wood for the high ceiling. Wifi didn't work in the room but we survived. :-)  Estella made us a simple but good breakfast - juices, scones, fruit. My one regret is that we didn't arrive earlier in the day to spend more time in Cachi and at Villa Cardon.
