We stayed for a couple nights in September. We were the only travellers in the hostel, everyone else seemed to live there. But the problems were- sheets full of holes, in the morning the sheets had totally come off the bed and I felt like a squatter on a dirty mattress. Actually I used my own sleeping bag liner to sleep in and my own inflatable pillow as the pillows were so old they just felt like two pieces of fitting wool in a sack. If you are charging people money to stay the least you can provide is decent bedding. The bathrooms were ok, old, kind of clean. The kitchen is great, really well equipped, but I just didn't feel comfortable at all to want to spend any time inside the hostel. I have allergies to dust, I had to take anti histamines every day just to stay! Also the noise is ridiculous in the mornings as the walls seem to be made of cardboard! The area is dodgy but we knew hat before we booked and had no problems with safety. 

Disappointing 

This was one of the worst hostels we stayed in during our month in South America every night they would throw parties till 4am and it was so loud you couldn't sleep- the people that attended these parties were all Spanish and we weren't even invited to join in because they were all friends of the staff that run the hostel! Every morning the hostel would be in disgusting condition! Our room also had a really bad damp problem so we had to clean all our clothes to get rid of the smell once we left!

Couldn't sleep it was so noisy!

We stayed for two nights at this hostel and felt very welcomed, from the moment we got there (very early on a Sunday morning, but we were allowed to use hostel facilities until check-in) to the delicious asado on the terrace on our last evening. We stayed in a double ensuite on the ground floor which was nice,big bed, good shower, TV with cable. Breakfast was good enough for Argentina! It was just a short walk into town and the hostel is also opposite a big park, which is a great place to sit in the sunshine. The price was also very good. A great choice in Cordoba.

A great choice

This place is amazing. It's one of the most cheapest hostel we stayed and everything were good. It's a kind of familial house and the kitchen was fully equipped. We spent good evenings by playing guitar and talking with other guests.
Juan is a chef when he's making pizzas or asado night!

The only "bad" thing is that's was too hot in the bed dorm.

But anyway, we had a really good stay in this hostel. Staff was awesome!

Great place for great people!

There didn't seem to be many recent reviews on here, so thought I'd leave a more up-to-date one for fellow travellers. I'd describe this hostel as ok - it's relatively clean, you have access to a kitchen and the staff are nice and helpful. However it isn't really on the right side of town (it takes just under half an hour to walk to the main square) and there is just not much going on around here. We were booked into a private room which had bugs and moths stuck up in the coving of the ceiling. Every single night there would be giant moths flying around, until we took it upon ourselves to clean out the coving. The internet didn't reach our room so you can only use it in the communal eating area, although when you're sat there it is quite fast. Breakfast was also quite poor (but then when isn't it in S America?) consisting of tea, instant coffee and salty bread rolls with jam. 

The two biggest annoyances with this hostel are the key system to the main door and the noise levels at night. You are not given a key to access the main gate, so a member of staff has to let you in and out every time. This would be fine, but there were two occasions we witnessed where the staff members just vanished and people were stranded outside the hostel, unable to get in for quite some time (and you also aren't able to leave the hostel without them there to open the door). If this system is in place, there really needs to be someone on reception 24/7 to ensure people can arrive and leave as they please. 

The other issue is noise late at night. The owner is really sweet and offered to cook for everyone on two occasions while we were there but after you've eaten and want to go to bed, they will start playing music very very loud (and even singing) until gone 2am in the morning. Some people are trying to sleep in the hostel, especially with early starts the next day, so a little consideration (especially for the rooms right by the kitchen) would be good. Our room also happened to be next to the ping pong table that, again, the owner and guests would take to very late in the nights to start playing right next to you while you attempted to sleep. Basically you won't get much sleep here before 2am. 

All in all it was an ok stay but we wouldn't recommend spending more than 2 days in Cordoba - there really is nothing to do around here and everything closes down between 12pm and 5pm.
