The lodges were lovely! Great place to stay for a few days. The rooms were very nice and cosy and quiet. We felt very safe here! The room was basic but spacious and the staff were lovely and very helpful!

The location is great, it is quiet and secluded, surrounded by nature. But it is still easy to get to the falls and the town by bus. Otherwise, we were able to get in touch with staff to get a taxi ordered to get around later at night, or to and from the airport 

Overall, we had a good time and would not hesitate to stay here again. Definitely would recommend for a visit to iguazu falls. 

Lovely lodge - definitely recommend!

Great place to relax, enjoy the pool and tropical gardens. Vast array of plants and fruits  and Talia is a wonderful host. You can take a walk up to the bus stop for the Falls service but we found it better to call a local taxi for a pick up at the Lodge. Also works out good value for the Brasilian side.

No bar yet so stock up from a kiosko and wifi and phone signals could be much better around Iguazu.

A tropical retreat to escape to whilst visting the Iguazu Falls

We really enjoyed our stay at Toucan Lodge. Its true that when we first got there from the airport down a fairly rutted dirt road we were wondering what the heck we'd gotten ourselves into. However, once we were finally able to get in (we couldn't figure out how to open the gate- bit of "school for the gifted" there) we were shown to nice, large, very clean rooms. Not ornate, not the Ritz but very homey. We took the easy way out, having the owner call us a cab (the lovely Oscar if I remember the name!) who took us to the park, picked us up at a prearranged time in the afternoon and then took us into town for dinner. We felt well taken care of, almost like having our own personal driver : ) Very quiet, beds decent although pillows were the usual slabs of concrete. I have to use earplugs in a lot of places but not here! Had a fridge and electric pot which was all we needed for making breakfast in the morning.

Lovely stay in Puerto Iguazu

We stayed at Toucan lodge end of Jan/ early Feb.
It's true that it is not located in the city center and it's hard to fine due to the lack of any road signs but... Once you arrived you'll find yourself in an oasis of green. Spacious cabins, lovely BIG and clean pool. Silence at night.

You can't find any frozen meals at the supermarkets in Puerto Iguazu (we searched hard) which means the microwave in the cabin is a little useless but there are many good restaurants in town (such as La Rueda or A piacere) 

Tito, the kindest taxi driver we met during our holiday, takes you to the center in 7 minutes for about 3 EUR. 

Danny's a friendly host, always willing to help. His little 'princess' daughter is just too cute. 
We only regretted one thing: having to leave after our 6 nights at Toucan lodge. Highly recommend this one!

Great place to relax

Very relaxing place, lots of space both in the lodges and the grounds.  Highlight was that there were no mozzies - we'd feared the worst!
Very helpful host.
Nice pool, very clean.
Shame we were out fallgazing most of the time.
A bit of a trip into time but the bus ride with the locals is a travellers must.
Another highlight was Tito the taxi driver that the host would call for us.
And Danny the host kindly gave us a lift to the nearby animal sanctuary when we realised we were running out of time.  Animal sanctuary was a must because I just had to see a Toucan!
As for the falls, you will not be disappointed, gollygosh!

Jungle retreat

Charming and spacious cabins set in a beautiful tropical garden with a large pool.  The bus stop for the Falls (Argentinian side), was around an eight minute walk.  The town centre was around 30 minutes away but, having walked it a few times, would recommend taxi or bus.
The owner, Danny, has created a tranquil oasis in Puerto Iguazu.  We particularly enjoyed sitting out on our verandah in the evenings with a drink (and plenty of mosquito repellent!)
There was a good sized fridge, but catering facilities were limited to a kettle and a microwave.  I should imagine, however, that most people only stay for couple of nights to see the Falls, so this would not be an issue.
Danny was a welcoming and helpful host.  He waited up for us when our plane was badly delayed and drove us into town the following morning to catch the coach to the Brazilian side of the Falls.  Much appreciated.
