It's the fourth year we've been here, and it's getting better and better! If you walk through Lujan de Cuyo, which is a very comfortable place to stay. They are attended to by their owners paying attention to every detail. The upstairs room overlooks the mountain range and the beautiful vineyards. Clean bathrooms, comfortable rooms, excellent quality beds.

An incredible place with wonderful attention.

We stayed only for one night in this amazing property but it was a very good one. Great location to go on a wine tour for sure with at least two vineyards in walking distance and plenty more around. Kitchen facilities are available and considering the lack of nearby restaurants also a good option. The room was comfy with a decent bed and a small bathroom. Located in a secured neighbourhood. 

Excellent place in the midst of vineyards 

The house is located within the neighborhood of Rincón, cepas del Malbec and is in a good area, close to the Dique and several wineries. It is a quiet and beautiful place, with a very large garden. We travel for 13 passengers and the rooms of the house are independent, meaning that one can even share the place with other passengers and have their key to their room with its bathroom, safe, etc. Independencia. There are 3 passengers, 4 and 5. We all occupy as a common area there is a quincho well equipped with grill, tables and chairs for everyone, a fridge (a Siam of 4 porters which is a cafeteria although a little noisy), laundry rooms, microwaves, nospresso (but no capsules) and so on.

This is an excellent option in Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo.

The service provided by the larissa and caesar is unparalleled. friendly, serviceable! very good people! excellent park and pool! large, comfortable and clean rooms! abundant and rich breakfast! this is the second time we've been and we'll be back!!

It is excellent.

It's strange to arrive, because it's a house that's inside a closed condominium. The house is very pretty, not being luxurious. The small but very comfortable room. The attention is very familiar and friendly. Parrilla parrilla for if you want to make a roast and a common kitchen fully equipped with a cool old refrigerator with separate sections for each guest. Very close to important wineries to visit.

It's a nice house that rents rooms.

We stayed for 3 days, the place is very nice, our room had a terrace and a grill, not luxurious but so very comfortable and clean. Apart from there is a shared kitchen. In the area there are good bodegas to visit. The owners are very friendly and oriented with everything you need. Totally recommended. Good price ratio quality.

Hint: past reviews said it was hard to find however I showed my taxi driver the location on google maps and we got to the gate of the property with no issues, you just need to call owners when you are at the gate so they can open it for you. My taxi driver called for me so make sure you have access to a phone upon arrival and you shouldn't have any issues

We didn't bother hiring a car, taxi to guest house is approx $25USD then taxis to local wineries approx $8USD or free if you walk to the one nearby! Highly recommended 


Stunning property with exceptional hosts 

Travel with my family (two young boys) and have a wonderful time. They honor the name, as Larisa and her husband work very hard at catering to their guests. They make you feel at home with their homemade meals, long chats and the companionship of their dogs that are super divine with the children. Moreover, we had a small room reserved and when we arrived we were surprised with an upgrade to a superior one at no cost. The patio, a luxury, worthy of returning in summer to enjoy the pool.

I stayed at El Tata Guest House after a couple of weeks in the Andes mountains. It was a little difficult to find but on arrival my reaction was 'wow!'. This is a beautiful quiet retreat where you can really unwind. I stayed in the top floor suite where everything was well maintained and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. Out on the terrace there are great views over the vineyards, which the area is renowned for. The pool looked very inviting but unfortunately I was without swimwear. Most importantly, the owners, Larisa & Cesar, were fantastic hosts and made me feel very much at home. They have a talent for it. Larisa's home cooking is delicious and the included breakfast was more than I could eat. I highly recommend a stay here if you're in the area.

A Great Experience

On my visit to Mendoza, all I knew was that I wanted to stay outside of the city, in Lujan de Cuyo in the heart of wine country.  I picked Guest House El Tata based solely on the reviews on Booking and on the picture of vineyards taken from the terrace of the second-floor room. It was even better than I could have imagined.  First, the attention in the weeks leading up to my stay.  Larisa and I had an extensive email back and forth, where she tried to figure out what I wanted to do and arranged all the logistics.  When we decided that I needed a rental car, her husband Cesar took care of it and got a great rate from a friend of his. Because in Mendoza you need to pre-book winery tours. Larisa did that all for me.  So they were not just B&B owners, but essentially tour organizers as well.  Cesar met me at the Mendoza bus station, drove me to the rental car agency (waiting for me as I stopped to get pesos), then I followed him the half-hour south to Lujan de Cuyo.  I almost feel guilty explaining all this, for fear that others will abuse their incredible hospitality.  (Though it is true that they do need to meet you and take you to their place, because you won't find it on your own).  It is a fantastic house in a gated community ("Cepas de Malbec") that backs onto vineyards owned by Kaiken Winery.  There is an outdoor pool, and the grounds are beautiful.  My second-flooor terrace suite was attractive, comfortable, quiet.  There is not much to do at night and there's really nothing around you can walk to, so they provide dinners if you want, and just add the (very reasonable) cost to your bill.   Educated, worldly, interesting people to talk to.  And the area--Vistalba--has fantastic wineries, not necessarily the best-known but some of the best.  The 3-course pairing lunch at Bodega Vistalba was my highlight.
