My wife, 2 children and I have a very nice two nights here. We stayed in July and It was chilly. The hotel kept several fireplaces stoked the indoor temp was pleasent. our room was equiped with an electric heater. 
The Hotel has around 10 rooms. The staff was profesional, gave us personal attention, and made us feel very welcome. 
The hotel has coffee/breads and cereals for breakfast, and serves a set meal for dinner. We had to advise if we were going to attend dinner... The meals were hearty but nothing inspired. 
we took a 3 hour horseback ride with the kids, and were delighted the the scenery and overall experience.
No wifi, but there is cell reception.

Nature and horseback riding

We had previously been to la posta and had liked it. Today we were passing and decided to stop for lunch. On the way in we were stopped and told it was A$100 per car (3cars) I queried this and said we wanted to have lunch and he still said we had to pay. When we got to the hotel the receptionist was probably the rudest man I've ever met in a hotel.  He told us that we couldn't eat there and to get out of the hotel. There were only 2 people in the restaurant. 
He then told us that there was an event on and they we were expecting 1000 people and to leave the hotel. 
We left and at the gate the member of staff refused to refund our money despite the fact we'd been there less than 10 minutes. I will NEVER visit this place again; it was appalling!

Wow, this was terrible

English is spoken. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was great - some of the best food I've had in Argentina. This is a VERY remote location in the middle of the Sierras. There are a lot of curvey winding roads to drive here so bring pills for motion sickness if that is a problem for you. You should definitely stop at one of the roadside stands that sell salami, cheese and bread, a very traditional snack while traveling this region. La Posta is in a beautiful setting with fabulous panoramic views of the Sierras. There are numerous outdoorsy activities to partake in. We did some hiking and exploring and found a cave which was neat. The rooms are very clean, the private bathrooms are updated, bright and clean. The rooms are very basic and rustic in style. No telephone in the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would go back. It is very peaceful, serene, and relaxing, and a great place to literally get away from it all.

Unique lodging experience

This beautiful well appointed resort lodge is situdated close to "El Condortio" National Park in Cordoba Province, Argentina.  The rooms are lovely, quiet and have clean up to date bathrooms. Meals, (4 a day) are included specializing in local indeginous recipes, (heavy soups, meats and pastas)and their wine list is the best of Argentinian wines.  Activities are plentiful but not included in the price.  There is a choice of "extreme" activities(4X4 driving, rock climbing, parasailing) to very sedate activities: hiking to see the condors, swimming, horseback riding, walks on the Pampa de Achala, reading.  We visited during the off season and had the place almost to ourselves, with lots of lounging and quiet space.  The landscape and sense of space is incredible.  Don't be fooled by the idea that this is warm Argentina, La Posta is at the peak of the transsierra highway and at altitude so the nights are cold and the winds and rain can be present. The staff was extrememly helpful and friendly.  I would go back in a second!
