Very nice hotel with clean and comfortable  rooms. Simple breakfast but ok. Good and calm location with beautiful view. Good parking possibilities. No lunch and dinner possibilities. You can walk to the nearby small and affordable restaurants, at night with live music.

Nice location

Terrazas de la Posta – Hosteria where we stayed in Purma x 2 nights. 

Plenty of parking. 3 blocks from main square. 2 blocks from highway. Front desk very helpful.
Room is modern, spacious, and clean. 

Breakfast is 8am to 10am – Sliced bread with ham and cheese. Corn Flakes with milk. Fruit, yoghurt. Pastries. Coffee, tea.
Have a terrace, where you can sit an eat with a wonderful view.

Hotel has few amenities.
No A/C - so have to open the windows, otherwise it gets stuffy/hot. However, there are no window screens, so we woke up with mosquito bites.
No working Wi-Fi: Their Wi-Fi didn’t work at all in the room. In the breakfast room, it only had 0-1 bars at various times.

As i sit here having breakfast the view is worth a million dollars. I read someone elses review and they said their only regret was not drinking wine on the terrace as the sunset. I vowed to do it for them but the wind was icy icy cold so we sat inside in this amazing glass sitting area drinking hot tea and i felt on top of the world and so so very blesssed to be here. Initially i thought this was a bit expensive compared to our previous accomodation but every penny was worth it. The room is warm and cimfortable, the best pillows in alll Argintina. Easy walk to town and fine restuarants and the most delightful professional music. The coloured hills surround you and are just a stroll away. People said Purmamarca was too touristy but i didnt notice. There is so much nature around, we didnt spend much time in town at all. Big bonus is that the ATM is reliable. I stayed 2 nights and could easily stay a week. The staff have been friendly..i dont speak  Spanish but they always smile and brought me early breakfast when they saw me up early. Also i made a boo boo on my booking, wrong month....and they were fine , even charged me less . Gracias i loved it and will definitly stay again.

Terrace de Excellence

Stayed at hotel 1 night at end of our driving trip around Salta region. Wish we had stayed longer, as it is such a cute town, surrounded by so much natural beauty.  The hotel room had a cute Indian-style interior decor.  

Pros
- Easy walking to town center
- Convenient covered parking below room
- Lovely Indian-theme interior decor
- Relatively easy to find when driving into town; good signage

Cons
- It was cool out at night, but room was too warm and stuffy; partner did not sleep well (no fan or AC)
- Night staff did not speak English 
- Smallish room for price

Other hotel comments
- Simple breakfast
- Room rate from tripadvisor initially not honored unless cash or debit card payment. Reception called Mgr/owner for exception which was granted. 

Pumamarca comments
- Numerous shopping opportunities in town center
- A few peñas on a street in town - fun restaurants with live music
- Bring cash, we encountered multiple places that don't take credit cards (restaurants) and offered poor exchange rates from us$
- 7-color hill viewable from town. We thought it was beautiful in late morning (were not able to wake up for the recommended 7:30am view time)
- We drove to humahuaca and felt this was not a good use of our (limited) time. The drive to salinas grandes (salt flats) was far more beautiful - both are around an hour away from pumamarca.

Cute Indian-style decor in purmamarca

Very good hotel. Nice design, very good rooms (good heating, excellent bed, good bathroom, every works fine). With a nice not big reception, a small dining where you take good quality breakfast. No restaurant but don't miss it as there are several very close in town. Wifi in reception area only.
