We have been coming to CinaCina regularly for many years and use this hotel as a meeting place for a family weekend with friends, whenever we come to Argentina. Here we always experience the uniqueness of nature, the peace and the deceleration in the "Campo", just over 100km from Buenos Aires. O
One can see the challenges to keep this aging infrastructure in good shape, but the team is doing well in making sure that everything works perfectly: heating, hot water, internet, and a good shower. Everything was clean and the beds were simply perfect, so that after a while in busy Buenos Aires you can sleep really soundly like a bear. 
But above all the magic of the place with the well maintained surroundings and the warmth of all the employees alone are enough reason to come here again and again. 
The price/performance ratio is great, and the beautiful village with good restaurants can be easily reached on foot. 
Each time our family goes for a 45-minute tour on horseback, which is a lot of fun we have together and it is very easy to organize, at a very good price.
We would like to thank the CinaCina team (and especially Mariela) for another very warm stay and hope to see each other again soon.

Great magical place of peace not far from Buenos Aires

We visited for a couple of nights as a break from touring. Nice place to stay, no frills but none the worse for that. Lovely pool and very friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyed a ride round the estate but, don’t forget insect repellent as we did! I’m still scratching!

Very good place to relax!

Wonderfully friendly and informative welcome. Lovely bedroom with porch and sun loungers. Set in gorgeous grounds. Asado lunch under Japanese wisteria was fantastic and the horse riding was fun. For a country escape La Cinacina is different, relaxing and memorable.

Country Escape

If you are looking for luxury, go elsewhere,  as there are several very expensive relais&chateau-type Estancias in the area.
La Cinacina is a  country hotel providing a reasonable level of comfort ( good beds ) but no frills. The staff are pleasant and Mariela, the manager, is delightfully helpful and speaks quite good English. The pool is large and simple lunches can be provided beside it. The hotel is set among marvelous trees and vegetation on the edge of the 100 acre farm, around which horse rides with Jose',a charming gaucho-type, are arranged. Essentially La Cinacina is a haven of peace, an ideal place just to relax. It is also right on the edge of San Antonio de Areco, so the essence of a small Argentine town, with reasonable restaurants, is right there. Our stay coincided with a colourful evening of locals dancing to country music in town. Within easy reach (hire car) of Buenos Aires, La Cinacina is anything but a tourist trap. It's the real deal.

Country Hotel in the Pampas

Very bad experience. They cancelled the tour and the room few hours before cause they preferred to switch with a bigger groupe ; we drove 200 km for anything.
They dont even try being nice or help us to find a solution.

Bad experience

Cinacina is in a spaceous lot at the edge of the town. You can easily walk to the centre. The staff starting b the owner and ending by the personal for th breakfest is great and helpflu. All is clean and tidy. Good value for money

Nice place great people

Warm welcome & local restaurant advice from Mariela. Our room had very comfortable bed & powerful shower. 
Rustic large guest room where breakfast & afternoon tea are served. 
Set in 100 acres on edge of town but only 8 blocks walk to centre. 

Relaxing rural estancia 

A peaceful and relaxing interlude from a hectic schedule by enjoying the rustic charm of a by gone era with relics of an estancia. The room was large, warm with hot water for shower and bath. The afternoon tea with cake by a flaming fire was most enjoyable. Breakfast was basic with good coffee and fresh orange juice. On site horse riding is available Thursday to Sunday but can be arranged on other days

Country Rustic Charm

The Estancia was exactly what we expected.  The innkeeper, Mariela,  stayed late the night we arrived to check us in.   She is warm and friendly and gave us a map of Areco and suggested places to visit and where to eat.  We walked into the center of the old town .... only 6 blocks. Our family of 4 were the only guests the 2 nights we stayed there.   The breakfast room is lovely and we had a fire in the fireplace the 2nd night while drinking our wine.  Breakfast is simple but delicious.   The rooms are on the small side but are comfortably rustic.   The bathrooms is good size and beds are comfy.   You get a taste of the gaucho life while staying here.   The best choice within walking distance of the center of town.

Can only recommend this place. It is country basic style but a really charming spot. We came back and will hopefully visit another time again. It is located in walking distance to the city, but still on a farm, plenty of acres and many sweet animals. Horses, cats and dogs. The staff is very friendly.
