Thanks to an absolute lack of coordination of the boat service of the local shipping company, they almost left us stranded on the island. The boat had to pick us up in Pucara at 4:30 p.m. in theory and they did not come. The staff of the Hua Hum hostel where we had to spend the night, whom we were able to communicate with the limited connection, immediately provided us with the necessary information to resolve this, and they even sent a van that looked for us in the area. We are very grateful for the help provided and amazed at the place.

This must be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.  Fire at night under an ocean of stars.  The Milky Way,  the shooting stars, the noise of silence!
 The cabins are fine, but they are net very well maintened.  Service for dinner is deficient.  The girls make a good effort, they are dedicated, but they need to take a Quality leap.  For example, since we were the only ones staying, the waitress rebuked us with the cleaning schedule, because she was running late.  They also did not tell us that the dining room would be closed and there are no options to eat anything in a radius of 50 km.
No cellphone signal, neither internet.

I would return for a thousand reasons, for example to contemplate that pier at sunset in solitude, but I would like to find changes in the service (which is not cheap)

Super calm and remote hostel to live the full experience of the Patagonia. Beautiful lake and near hikes, and excellent fishing locations.
The staff is friendly and the cats that live there are insanely cute.

If you're looking into getting in touch with nature, this is the place for you.

Remote getaway

This place is under new management and is set in the most tranquil place you could imagine. There the lovely Innes takes care of you and makes every effort to ensure your visit is a pleasant one.

This is not a town hotel it’s where you touch nature and we were amazed at just how wonderful it could be. Long unmade road to get here but worth it.

Tranquility

I stayed here in Total 2 nights. The first and last day of a biking trip. I had a private room with a veranda and fire place in the room. I really loved the location, so relax. You only hear birds. The have hot showers only between 8 and 10 (morning and evening). First you smell that some one is burning wood and a few Hours later the water is warm. It is in theory a hostel but because of the location I loved it here. You have easy talks with other travelers. 

You can jump in the lake but that is really cold but when you came out and sit in the sun you get warm soon.

Really nice place, budget but with private rooms

Ended up here after driving from dt Marten. Had a drink whivh tasted like water with flavourinh. Located on Lake Nomthue which is its best asset. Sadly however the menu and drinks were undetectable. Not an inspiring venue

Not a great meal stop

This hosteria is located 42 km from San Martin de los Andes, only 2 km from the Chilean border, by the Lake Nonthué, at its end. The hosteria has about 4 nice rooms in a separate building, as the one I had: big, clean,with an  excellent bathroom, a few meters by the shore, surrounded by the sound of birds. It has heating because by night and in the early morning temperatures are low even in summer. 
The service is not as good as the room: breakfast includes just two pieces of bread and butter, and for the fun I had to eat in the kitchen, talking with the gardener and the maid. The cost for a double room is a little above 100 dollars. But I recommend strongly to stay there at least one evening and one early morning, because the location is unique.
