GuestHouse Crown Of Tsaghkadzor 

We spent two weekends at Tsaghkadzor Hostel and will certainly be coming back! We would recommend it to other budget minded backpackers. The newly renovated building has 4 floors and a basement. The main bunkrooms are on the top floor. Private rooms are also available. We particularly enjoyed the well designed bunk beds which feature individual privacy curtain, power outlet and reading light. Large storage lockers are also a plus. There is a common kitchen area downstairs which despite having no windows is bright, colorful and well provisioned for cooking. A lounge is the only thing we found missing, although the kitchen could serve dual duty if more power outlets were installed. Staff is friendly and attentive. Russian and Armenian spoken. English limited but should never be a deal breaker in this most hospitable country. The hostel is centrally located and a short walk from a variety of shops, small markets and restsurants. The ski area is about 3 kms away (40 min walk or 5 min taxi ride for 1000ADM). Tsaghkadzor is still a mellow uncrowed ski area and this hostel was also very quiet when we visited. Highly recommend for a cheap ski weekend.
