What an amazing place! Our first time in Aruba and it now won’t be the last! The Modern delivered everything we expected and more! Room was spotless and service was impeccable ! Enjoyed waking up with fresh coffee and making our own breakfast on our time! Then walk 3/4 minutes to beach! Not one complaint.

Amazing

Facility itself is very nice with spacious room that has a fully equipped kitchen and good sized bathroom.  Pool area is excellent - we spent part of each day there an got to meet some fellow guests - all of whom were great!  Free parking for our rental car, and the hotel supplies you with sand chairs for the beach.  Blanca, the housekeeper, is fantastic.  Very responsive and friendly.  This was our second trip to Aruba staying here, and all future trips to Aruba will be spent at this hotel too.  You won't be disappointed!

Second time visitor - still very pleased!!

My only complaint was that I couldn't stay longer! I booked the White Room for the last night of my stay in Aruba, and was blown away when I walked into the spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully decorated space with all the amenities you'd ever need. The common areas/ pool were beautiful, clean, and inviting. The Modern is set back *just* enough from the hi-rise hotels to be a quiet retreat, yet is still a short, comfortable walk to the beach. Highly recommend- I'll be backp for certain!

Quiet, Whimsical Oasis Steps From the Beach- 10/10!

The Modern Hotel a wonderful small hotel offering a great escape from the crowded high rise hotels, peaceful rooms and private pool, yet easy access to the beach, and all amenities of life in Aruba. We rented a car and had great off street parking. We will be back.

Wonderful Aruba Vacation

The hotel is very cute!  Big bedroom and bathroom.  The kitchen is a small kitchenette.   Micro and toaster oven but no oven.   The bed is very comfortable.  The pool is nice.  When we where there is was very relaxing and quiet.  There is a small trail through a field next to you which will take you to beach.  Your cat beach in 5-7 min.  We would stay there again !  The prices are very reasonable also!

Great little find in Aruba!

We stayed in the White Apartment for a week and loved it. The location is great being so close to Palm Beach, with easy access to water activities, bars and restaurants. We rented a car so could drive to many locations including different beaches and attractions. The pool is usually empty, and Mike was always fast to respond to any questions. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Excellent location without the price tag

Wonderful little gem! Very clean and quiet. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite. It took us 2 days, but once we found the walking path across to the beach and the grocery store within walking distance, it was perfect.

This is a small boutique hotel. It very pretty inside and well maintained. I really enjoyed the pool area. I love that they leave it open all night to enjoy if you wish. They have a water and coffee bar in the hallway. The housekeeper is who checks everyone in. She’s very welcoming and kind. I left her a tip once leaving because the room was cleaned so well upon arrival. 

 I had the deluxe suite and it was very nice. The bathroom is a woman’s dream. The full body mirror, vanity light to apply makeup and the large walk in shower with hot water was prefect. 

There is no way to walk to the beach. The path you would take to walk across to the beach is muddy and filled with water. A couple of locals that was working close by said it’s always wet in that field and you can not walk through it. You have to take a taxi no matter what. The taxis have a set rate since they are regulated by their government. From the palm beach area it was $12USD one way to take me back to the room or to be picked up.

It’s $36 for a taxi from the airport to the room (Saturday arrival) and $31 taxi to be dropped off at the airport (Monday). I spent a lot of money on taxi rides because I thought the beach was in walking distance from the advertisement. 

The issue I had was:
The taxis do not pick up after 8pm which is a bummer because we have to depend on the taxi’s since we technically can’t walk to the beach, restaurant or clubs. The two numbers advertised in the room for taxi service don’t respond after 8pm. Bring CASH. 90% of the taxi drivers only accept cash. I recommend just renting a car if you stay here. 

Overall it was a very enjoyable stay at Modern Beach Hotel !

Beautiful and Clean Hotel

We go to Aruba as much as possible and this is one of our favorites. We stayed in the pool suite, it was very clean, we had everything we needed. We walked to the beach everyday, about a 10 minute walk. We’re already booked for September.
