Whilst staying at the Lindy lodge I had them break into my car to move it so they could allow access for a gardener to fix and fence and tidy a garden bed.
I had a very expensive $3000 handbag and other items go missing from my belongings and even had them move all my belongings from one room to another while I wasn’t there as I had Covid and was asked to stay else where until isolation was over.
The owner David came across as smart and charming however when confronted about breaking into my car and his own worker admitting it was him who asked the worker to do so he quickly turned and the police are now involved.
I would recommend staying there if u like cold stiff blankets, fake and rude staff, being around others who are out of domestic violent relationships and the homeless as that is who they cater for as beggers can’t be choosers.

Disgusting and vile

What an awesome Stay I've had here the last 12 days  the staff and house maids were so caring and compassionate I booked into Lindy Lodge 3 days after major Surgery and couldn't of been looked after enough What a lovely peaceful stay I had and I thank you all very much if I'm ever in Adelaide again this motel will be my choice A big thank you to Jamie

We booked in for 2 nights as I had an overnight stay in Q.E.H. upon enquiring re booking a room with single beds due to my severe medical problems Sam explained they did not have  a twin single beds room ; but he kindly  offerred a room with a king bed and a sofa bed.  - room 1.  on arrival Jamie was very kind and offerred his assistance if I had any problems  our just to phone and let him know. His kindness to a lady in her seventies was very much appreciated.
The room was so clean it looked like it had been newly renovated. the beds were ultra comfortable. We have nothing but praise for this motel and would happily recommend it to any travellers looking for accommodation. We have travelled extensivelly  in  our retirement . and this motel ranks as one of the best we have sayed in

Great experience

No worries about the motel, clean comfortable and quiet and friendly staff but be aware that if you don’t book through one of the booking.com people then breakfast is not included in your nightly price. I rang direct to the motel but breakfast is not included in the price as we found out...This is just information not a criticism and we would stay again.

Spent two nights there recently, but will never stay there again. The nights were booked separately, night one a Queen, and night two an Executive room - both were not what I was expecting. The photos on the internet looked like both rooms were quite nice, but in reality they were shabby, tired,and run down. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling,  along with peeling paint and damaged timbers. The curtains in the Executive room had some kind of what appeared to be bodily fluid (? blood) splashed on them - not hygienic at all! Breakfast was provided, but only from 7am, no use at all to an early riser/leaver. Both rooms were very noisy, and not conducive to a good nights sleep, and you had to walk through the restaurant/bar to get to the room. Staff were ok.

clean rooms, great staff, great location straight across the road from arndale shopping centre
easy trip into town on bus or train. older style hotel but well worth the tariff... they make you feel at home

Friendly place to stay

Walked down a creepy hallway and entered our room.
OMG.....couldn’t breath....it smelt so old and musty
Opened the window but no air could come through because of the dust and dirt in the screen
A can of Impulse spray helped us to bear the smell
Was told we reserved the last room..full house you’d expect restaurant to be opened but No it wasn’t and I think with 3 to 4 cars in parking it might have been a lie....
Only plus was it had a great shower
Never again....cannot work out how this is a “4 star” motel I’d give it a “2”

Awful....

Greeted by broken ugly tiles falling of building. Occupational health hazard, must bring own hard hat!! Reception area lingers with the stench of old men and cigar. Rooms are unkempt and in need of an upgrade or perhaps a bulldoze would be more  appropriate. Staff attire was undesirable, I actually thought that the supervisor was a "homeless person" in need of a shower, hot meal and a change of clothes. The mannerisms of one particular supervisor were hostile, disrespectful and had absolutely no respect for privacy. I wanted to say "mate, settle down, your not guarding the crown jewels" My last morning I was woken with a loud knock on my door opening my eyes to find the said supervisor inside my room advising me of my 10am check out??????? A little too close for my liking! How long had he been in my room whilst I was asleep...
Absolute abomination of a hotel. I'm aghast to see it still has the doors open. I don't believe any of the guests given a choice would actually stay there. I know first opportunity to get out I ran never to look back. -0/10

Wouldn't let my dog sleep here

As my wife had surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, this was the motel I selected for convenience as it is not far away.  Across the road is a shopping complex with everything you can imagine which was a real bonus.  Check in was professional and thorough.  It is an older style motel but I liked the security and though you have to enter through the front door to access your room, I found this even better than other establishments.  Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed.  Don't expect the Hilton, but for the money, it is an excellent motel.  Microwave, good size tv, comfy bed, air-con, fridge, toaster, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/shave cream/lotion etc.  They have an on-site restaurant and the staff are very helpful.  Finally, good size car park.  Will use again!

Friendly and convenient

My husband and I stayed at Lindy Lodge over a  6 month period while he was receiving chemo therapy treatment at the QEH. It was only 10 minutes from the hospital. As soon as arrived we were treated with helpfulness, kindness and excellent service. It became our home away from home. Being able to have meals there helped us greatly. The staff were exceptional and the room was sparklingly clean and comfortable. It is an older style motel but welcoming and friendly. Having the Arndale shopping centre opposite was a great help too.
