A lot of the reviews are very divided between good and really bad. The rooms in the back against the courtyard are, as I read from others, not good at all. My room was number two, and was located upstairs directly above the restaurant. If you are staying here make sure u get the rooms located over the restaurant. The room was big and beds nice and it was clean. It also had AC. My stay was very good, although it was somewhat noisy, so if ur very sensitive bring earplugs. Good friendly staff - no elevator tho.. so be prepared to cary everything up the stairs.  

And they should get a sign which states the right name, or change what they are called on the booking pages!!!! :@

Two different set of rooms. Good and bad

I wish I could write a positive review as the Management was lovely but unfortunately, for the price, the room was extremely dated and in very poor condition and unbelievably noisy (not their fault I know), on the plus side the position was very handy and the cafe seemed very nice.

Very disappointed 

This place is not what it looks like on the website. It is shoved out the back of the restaurant with a small car park near 3 big gas cylinders and all enclosed with a gate. No balcony to the room just a dull dark 2 bedroom place to stay. It was a very hot day Boxing day when we were there so no where to sit outside and have a nice cold drink and relax  there is a balcony you can use which is back out the gate onto the main street and up the stairs which is not any good if you want a few drinks and nibbles. My sister booked a room as well and she has photos of hair and what looks like urine around the toilet which I am sure now she will post we were so upset we decided to go for a walk along the strip  and that is when we came across the Heart Hotel OMG I said to my sister why didn't we see this place to book it was beautiful inside and out and nice balcony's to the rooms. So we went in and the lady at Heart Hotel was wonderful she offered us 3 rooms for the same price we paid at Fusion which is also known as GARUMA they have changed their name wonder why . My husband and sisters daughter went back to get the cars and advise the lady that we could not stay in there and the lady at the time was wonderful and promised to refund our money within two days. Well you guessed it she did not refund our money and to make it worse she will not answer any phone calls or emails (which I have been sending for the last 3 weeks) to advise why she said she would  refund and hasn't. I find this very dishonest. I feel you all should know as I would hate this to happen to another family wishing to spend a nice time at Airlie beach. I also feel if there was fire at this place you would never get your cars out and would have to try and jump the fence to get out. This is the worst place I have ever booked and I advise if you want somewhere nice to stay with a balcony at Airlie Beach stay clear of this place.
