We were  greeted by Christine lovely lady.  

Though the chalet at the back was surrounded by bushland our view from the front I can see being disrupted by future building and traffic.   So it wasn't a total seclusion feel.  Did love watching the Kangaroos and wild life.

It was comfortable but slightly out dated, 
We wanted a winter retreat with a wood fire place.  For the price of the Chalet the first load of wood was complementary but you were charged for.  $10 per basket.  it would needed nearly 2 baskets a day.  This wasn't stated in the promo

Comfortable but not secluded

My brother and I spent 3 nights here and just loved the place!  On arrival, when chatting with Brian, he realised we were brother and sister, something that hadn't come up on Booking.com, so he brought over bedding for the second room as he's only made a double up for us.  The chalets are very simply furnished and equipped, but have everything you need.  Beds were comfortable, shower good and the situation perfect, in a wooded area with an outlook over fields where Brian's sheep graze happily alongside the kangaroos!  We were the only folks occupying a chalet, but the distance from the other chalets seems very reasonable so privacyis assured if there are a few families there.  Great base for exploring the Albany area and beyond.  Brian was very welcoming, and also very discreet, making sure we knew if we had any questions, we could pop in to see him.  Unfortunately we never met Christine who was indisposed.  Bonne continuation to you both,thank you for your warm welcome Brian and hope you're fully recovered, Christine!

Peace, quiet and kangaroos!

We loved loved staying at these chalets. We were two couples and each with an infant. The place was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. The beddings were superb. The views of kangaroos and sheep added an extra touch to the whole experience. If ever in Albany or Denmark Am definitely staying here.

The Pics don't do this place justice!!

We wanted a place to stay in the Albany area where we could relax, cook, and do laundry.  We got that and so much more!  The cabin/chalet isn't fancy, but it is thoughtfully appointed, well laid out, peaceful, clean, and comfortable.  I would love to come back, but it's unlikely I'll be in Western Australia again.  

I'm a birder from the US, and I really enjoyed birding the property and surrounding area.  Without working too hard, I saw 31 different species on the property in a week.  I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching the kangaroos in the paddock out front.  

One note:  The washer is a "twin tub" type, so you have to fill one side with water, set to wash for 15 minutes, move the washing to the spinner while the other side drains, fill the first side, rinse the clothes, then spin again and hang up to dry on the veranda.  It worked fine for us, but there's a laundromat in town if that's not your style.

Just what we were looking for!

Woody Grange Chalets were everything we were looking for in the area around Albany -which was only ten minutes away. It was incredibly peaceful and the chalet we were in was comfortable, clean and cosy. It was in a perfect position for us to visit both the Stirling and Porungurup Ranges.

The chalet looked out over farmland where kangaroos roamed and birds flew by.Christine, the friendly owner ,greeted us and escorted us to our chalet. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. 

We would most definitely stay here again if we visited the area.



Would stay here again

The owners were not friendly at all , the chalet was very dirty. Wood fire but no wood and only 1 floor towel for a whole family. Also only got 1 coffee sachet for the whole stay.

Location was nice but I would spend my money else where.

Ahhhhh so relaxing...is how you will feel after staying there!
My husband and i stayed there for 3 nights over the australia long weekend and it was wonderful. We drove straight after work on the friday so arrived quite late (pass 9pm) but the person were still awake and we checked in very easily and were showned to our chalet and the facilities as well. Very nice welcome and service.
The chalet itself has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable. I LOVED waking up and opening the window  and seeing all the wildlifes and kangorous so close. The whole property is well maintained and has everything to cook food if you want too (only thing maybe is to have some cooking oil available). They provide teas/coffee and a little milk as well :)

Awesome peaceful beautiful place

My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights & just loved it. You feel as though you are miles away from anywhere but in fact only a 15 minute drive into Albany's main town. The cottage had all the supplies you needed & wonderful views from the bedroom & lounge.It is well kept & very clean. I feel their pictures on the web site don't do it justice.

Relaxing Retreat in the woods

The perfect escape from the hustle & bustle of the city! Have stayed here before and would definitely return again!

The chalets are homely, cosy and spotlessly clean 👌🏻 I absolutely love the abundance of wild life right on your doorstep, but the best part for me is the tranquility.
Really nice hosts too, nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you for a wonderful Easter weekend!

Relaxing Easter getaway

This visit at Easter we had five nights at Woody Grange and we had a very relaxing time. The chalets had everything we needed and were once again clean and comfortable. Escaping the city to the quiet of the bush was wonderful and even the kangaroos visited every morning and evening.
Thank you to our hosts for the effort they put in to ensure everything is just right.
