Robert is the perfect host who was attentive without being intrusive. We received a warm welcome and a comprehensive guided tour of the property. Guests are free to use the tea and coffee facilities, fridge and freezer, and the lounge TV. Roberts cooked breakfast was outstanding - not had a better breakfast anywhere. Good wifi available. We were the only guests and so had exclusive use of the separate bathroom. Had there been others we would have had to share - not so good. It was just a short walk to the centre of Albury and plenty of dining options.


Friendly and comfortable

Robert is extremely charming and knows hospitality as he has worked in Hotels & restaurants. His home is immaculate. I challenged him for brekky as normally he gives you fresh eggs from his chooks, however I wanted avocado mash which he prepared. He also cooks/ preserves his fruit so amazing pears with cinnamon & muesli. 
Room very private with private bathroom - very modern.
I was there for one night on business with my partner so our evening stroll took us into the Botanical gardens which was 5 minutes away.

Fabulous Host

Robert runs a first class bed and breakfast establishment; he is a an informative and friendly host. The bedroom was very comfortable and there was even fortified wine (port, I think; I didn't indulge) on offer. Blankets were thoughtfully provided as well as a quilt - I frequently find quilts too hot so I appreciated the availability of blankets. Breakfast is extensive with Robert offering cereals, toast, home-made preserves and cooked food. A good place to stay in walking distance of Albury's main street.

Excellent B&B

Blissful night spent at the Albury B&B......oh so comfy bed, warm and cozy.  (Or was that the port hist Robert left out for me??)

Peaceful and quiet and loved waking up to the hens clucking and laying their daily quota of eggs.

Felt like I was home!

We stayed overnight after arriving by train to Albury. To get our bearings we walked in a leisurely fashion from the station, through the town centre , past the beautiful St Matthew's Church and the contemporary museum in the crisp air, crunching through autumn leaves, arriving 40 minutes later to the graciously historic Jones St. Our host Robert welcomed us and efficiently orientated us to his elegantly renovated home. The pix on Trip Advisor are exactly what one sees. The room was warm and immaculately clean. The bathroom was spotless, tasteful and huge. 

But Robert 's natural warmth and genuinely hospitable nature is the cherry on the cake. After cooking a classy made to order breakfast before our eyes he showed us around his garden and chatted with us. Just lovely! I felt completely relaxed and at home. 

Uniquely, much of the food used in this B&B is home grown. Fresh eggs from beautifully kept chickens, home grown veges, and a stunning array of home made preserves which sit in their jewel colours on display in the butler's pantry. There were 8-10 choices to try at breakfast, standouts being the pear and chocolate spread, carrot and ginger jam and spiced marmalade.

Our sole regret is that we only stayed one night. You must must must try this one.
