We were driving home from interstate and decided  to stay in Albury as we were getting tired. We came across the Albury Central Motel. Upon arrival, the owner came to the door and was very friendly and helpful. 

He offered us the last available room for the evening. He personally walked outside, showed us where our room was and where we could park.

The room was large, clean and well set out. I note a lot of reviews comment on the age and layout of the property. They seem to expect a 5 star resort for a 3 star price. For the price paid, it is a great property. It is not expensive, and considering the high inflation at the moment, it helps to keep costs low.

The bed was comfortable with spare pillows in the cupboard. It had a large TV and the owner provided milk for our morning cup of tea.

I would recommend this motel if you are looking for somewhere cheap, and have reasonable expectations given the lower price. If you are looking for a spa resort, this is not the place for you.

If you are looking for a older, clean building with friendly owners, then perhaps this is the place for you.

I will be staying here again when we go to Albury.

Short notice stay, great service, great location

Stayed for one night and didn't need the full range of amenities more expensive hotels might offer, so I was very pleased with this place.  I've read some negative feedback about the location but it's about the cheapest deal for a motel in Albury so I'm not sure what people expect. 
There were no disturbing surprises, no pretensions. I had a good night's sleep in a clean, comfortable bed with a bit of brekky thrown in. The shower and appliances all worked fine, and the host was most helpful. It's in a great spot if you're travelling by train or bus, and there was no noise from the highway or passers-by. That's a yes from me.
 

Simple, easy, enjoyable, inexpensive.

We stayed here for four nights to be close to our granddaughters Snooker Championship competition at the Commercial Club. The Hotel is nice, but did not have big rooms,it was clean and had good access to the town, well equipped with toaster,microwave,hairdryer,tea making equipment,lots of cutlery and crockery. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was adequate,clean towels were supplied every day. We were offered a continental breakfast at only $2 each! which we utilised...it worked very well! The cost of the stay was nominal and my wife and I were pleased at the entire package. Having stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels this made for an interesting, easy going change of pace.

A basic well equipped nice budget hotel.

Can’t complain, budget accommodation and you pay for what you get.

Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

When we stayed it was very hot outside and the air conditioner coped with the heat which was nice.

A few other loud guests around were a bit annoying and the bathroom needed a decent scrub but if you are looking for something cheap and conveniently located then this place would be fine.

Can’t Complain! Budget Accommodation 

My children said ‘this is like a place from a movie where someone was murdered’ 
I think that sums it up perfectly.  The plus side was that it was cheap for a quick stop to sleep while on a road trip.  
The room booked was definitely not the room we slept in, but after a long drive it wasn’t worth the debate.  

Cheap.... 

Geografically great, near train station, 100metres from main street, parking Ok,apart from that, it is old, nowhere to put stuff away, bathroom has a tap bigger than the basin, water goes everywhere when you brush your teeth or wash your hands. Service, well, my 4 year old grandson can make the bed better than the staff here.

Forget it!

Our 2 room apartment was basic but we did get it at a budget price. Our group of 5 all had comfortable beds but there was 1 broken sofa and not enough chairs to sit around table. All doors creak so not good if you are a light sleeper.
Beds were comfortable so if that’s all you need it’s ok.

Apartment Buget Basic

Looking at the reviews glad we didn't stay. Owner promised refund after booking 2 rooms so went ahead with cancellation 20 minutes after booking. Despite promises no refund received. Owner pocketed our nearly $200 and then would have re-let room. Beware, owner has no ethics. Claims on the website he has a 99.9% satisfaction rate which is indicative of the type of people you're dealing with. Steer well clear! Owner was also extremely rude over the whole affair, probably the worst encounter ever experienced with a hotel owner who usually have some desire to at least give an appearance of customer service. 

There are probably many good value motels in Albury, this isn't one of them! 

Heartbroken. I stupidly booked this place for a 2nd time unknowingly. We booked this place as a halfway point between Melbourne and N.S.W. in May 2021 so we could attend my husband's grandfather's 99th birthday, covid stopped that as we were not allowed across the border (the hotel took our money, even after discussing the issue) fast forward 12 months and now excited to attend a 100th birthday ...NOPE .... he has covid. I realise great we have booked the same hotel a year later. We again message them with the situation.
Nope we lose our money again. There will be no 3rd time. Shouldn't have been a second really. 
Buyer beware in the world of covid where nothing is straight forward and everything is unknown.

No compassion

WE booked a family room after 9 hours on the road just wanted to rest before we headed back to Victoria we couldn't wait to leave we did not get the room advertised on booking.com we got a small triple room that they had squeezed another double bed in there was bare wires in the bathroom the fridge door handles was filthy with god knows what the loo would not flush properly it was 30° and could not use the aircon as it sounded like a jumbo jet, stains on the lampshade I could list more but I think you get the idea the guy in the room at the end was battering the door down of the room next door he seemed smashed out of his head and was coughing up a lung outside every 5 mins my kids was actually scared  it was like a jail cell you would see in the movies and that's a compliment to add insult to injury after putting in a complaint the manager has been unavailable since
