Food was cooked well. Ambiance typical for an Outback chain restaurant. The service was great. However ,the restaurant was empty because of summer in Florida. Price was good. All food was very good and my steak was cooked perfectly as shown in the menu diagram.

Outback at it's best

Laura and Ben are so welcoming. The cottage is quaint, clean, comfortable and quiet. Short drive to town. After 5 weeks of travel the breakfast is the best we have had. Family enjoyed the breakie and separate rooms.

Best Breakie

We stayed at Bond Springs for 4 nights and wished we had more time to stay. The cottage is comfortable, spotlessly clean. Laura and Ben were excellent hosts. The breakfasts provided every day by Laura were amazing. Fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts, 
egg and bacon pies, the list goes on. A different feast every day. It was so quiet, just what we needed when we arrived in Alice. Bond Springs is easy to find and only a short drive from the town of Alice. Highly recommended.

A place to unwind and relax

Our visit to this outback retreat ended in a big disappointment. Our travel agency booked the Wurlie cottage but after arrival we were told that the owners decide on arrival in which cottage you will stay. We were put in a room with no other facilities, no kitchen, no bbq etc. It was not even on the website. The food and drinks we bought we had to put in the fridge in the kitchen of the main house. Which was not what we had in mind for a self contained cottage. After an hour we left the premises and stayed in Alice Springs.....

Disappointing

A few kilometers north of Alice Spring, we find this cottage at the end of a road that crosses a farm and livestock freely. We think we are lost when a lady, Laura, arrives with a baby in her arms, smiles and welcomes us, as Australians know how to welcome us. Kindness, effort to understand, explanations, assistance... in short, the French that I am taking a lesson in life. The cottage is well arranged and we immediately feel at home. So we make a washing machine available. Laura tells us that she will drop us a lunch basket for the small house...: surprises for the future customers!

The charm of Australia

In 1995 and for a year I lived on this cattle farm with my son who was 12 years old at the time. Jan and Grant were charming to me and even though I was working my life flowed with happy days. For my son who was also 12 years old it was a wonderful experience. I went back to see them four years ago. Nothing had changed, they had not even grown old.

A very moving and unforgettable experience for me and my 12-year-old son at the time.

We stayed two nights here in a converted stockman's cottage.  It was comfortable, had everything one needed - it was about 10 miles from Alice Springs, but seemingly nearly in the middle of nowhere.  We had two wonderful breakfasts provided by Laura, and had the opportunity to "Barbeque" stopping at the supermarket in town for supplies on the way.
We even had four cows just wander by the gate one morning, on their way to wherever. There was a small pool for the guests to use.  Being so far away from unnatural light at night, the stars seemed to be very bright and the sunsets magnificent.

Unique Experience

Wonderful place to stay. Perfect hosts. Great breakfast. Peaceful surrounds. Fantastic scenery - what more can I say.  Not hard to find and being out of Alice Springs is a bonus.  A special place to stay.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Far from everything, a superbly well-arranged independent house in the middle of the suburbs and dwellings of a working farm. The reception takes place in the farmers' own house around a coffee shop, then a quick tour of the farm and your residence. Nothing is missing, your breakfast will be in your refrigerator in the late afternoon. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, a common area/living room/kitchen and a large outdoor dining area to make you feel better about your trip. Everything is designed with good taste and gives a nice result.

Real Farm Life in the Outback

We stayed one night in this hotel, which is located a few kilometers outside the center of Alice. The structure is located in the open countryside, so you have to make a piece of unpaved road to get it together. It is an apartment with a double room, bathroom and living room with kitchen. Breakfast is consumed here previously put in the fridge by the owners. Original and unusual but very cute.
