Advertised with a Pool, Pool was green full of leaves and out of action and made the whole house smell of dead frogs, very off-putting. only reason we booked was because of the pool. Owner then tells us once we discovered yeah no pool working, no care shown. 

But yeah when asked regarding pool no care was given and said walk down the back and swim in the river. which had no water in it. very poor and disappointing.
Will never recommend or stay here again. Overpriced for what is on offer.

False advertising, Poor service. DONT STAY

I’ll start with a bit of background for this review, ie, I’ve been travelling for weeks now, lots of different accommodation (inland and coast) with varying prices.  Tuckeroo Cottages offer a quiet, nature loving paradise with captivating views of Mt Barney and in this  it didn’t disappoint. Staying for 3+ nights gave me a discounted rate so I booked for 6 and as I booked 3-4 days prior to arriving payment was to be made in full/no refunds. While the cottage was well stocked for continental breakfasts (minus bread) a few things were “off”, eg, the smoke detector was disabled and the cleaning preparation left a lot to be desired, eg, mouldy blinds and bathroom ceiling, dirty windows/glass door (with its own wasp nest), unusable freezer in small fridge (door came off in my hand) because it was 98% iced up and the list goes on. There’s also a pavilion on site where guests can gather to use BBQ facilities etc or just hang out but it looked as though it hadn’t been used or cleaned in months and the large fridge there, which guests are told they can use to store extra food, was dirty.  The bottom line is whether guests are few and far between (or not) amenities should be kept in good condition at all times after all we're paying guests not friends. I left there with the feeling of a ‘who cares, money coming in, slap dash attitude’ ran the place.

We spent 3 days of delightful blissful peace at the cottages to celebrate 28 years of marriage.
The log fire burnt endlessly while we watched the low scudding rain clouds cover Mt Maroon.
There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area of Mt Barney.
Support our local tourism operators in what has been an horrific year worldwide. Be blessed that we are able to travel inside Australia

Wedding Anniversary weekend

Wow, wow wow, this is truly a special place to unwind and relax nestled over looking Mount Maroon and Mount Barney. Mick and Gayle make you feel so welcome and nothing is a bother for them.  The views are awesome, the accommodation is just like a home away from home,loved the added on bbq area and fire pit that we had, plus the fire place inside the cabin for those cold nights was awesome as was the reverse cycle air con. You have everything that you need at your finger tips. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and have not a care in the world , then look no further. We will definitely be coming back to stay again.

A relaxing getaway

Spectacular views, great stove for the winter weather, good BBQ facilities. Close to lots of good hiking spots. They are very thoughtful hosts and have thought of everything you might possibly need. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful weekend away!

Beautiful spot

We stayed a Tuckeroo Cottages for three nights.  Every moment was relaxing and enjoyable.  We loved the warm welcome that we received from Gail, Steve, Suzie & Caddie.  The views were amazing, the breakfast that was supplied was plentiful, the wood fire heater was heavenly and the cottage was very comfortable.The peace and tranquillity were bliss. We only left the cottage once and that was to take a walk down to the river (escorted by one of the gorgeous dogs - Caddie. We cannot wait to come back one day.

Recharge your batteries

We needed respite from the busyness of life, and Tuckeroo provided that. Set on a quiet hillside, looking out on a couple of the mountains of the Scenic Rim, it was as if you were at your own private retreat. We loved the meticulously neat and well appointed cabin, the fire, the stillness. Sitting on the deck watching the mountain silhouetted against the fading sky was magical. Gail was so friendly and accommodating. We came away rested and refreshed.

Chill

Second stay at Tuckeroo Cottages was as good as the first.    Cosy, comfortable cottage with a wonderful view of Mt Maroon and Mt Barney.  Well situated to discover the delights of the Scenic Rim. 

Provisions provided were much appreciated....cereal, juice, bottle of milk and bread with am array of jams, teas and coffee machine, cosy fireplace, plenty of wood all added to the holiday experience.

Spirit Recharge

What we loved was the peace and quiet. They have only 2 cabins they rent out so its nice and peaceful and you also have great view of Mt Maroon from the balcony. Also loved the Fireplace we had it fired up for the 2 winter nights we stayed here, good sized TV, comfy bed. Also loved the walking track down to the River that you must do if You stay here.”

Must stay if visting the Scenic Rim in South East Queensland

From booking to leaving our experience was 100% satisfactory. 
We had perfect communication from Gail. When we arrived Mike was there waiting to greet us and showed us around the cottage and where we can bbq and just relax in the afternoon with a drink.
We hired the pizza oven and utensils were put out for us and pizza oven was beautiful and hot when we went to cook pizzas. 
The next night we got an invite to sit with Gail and Mike and have a few drinks. We had a lovely chat.
Our stay here was so tranquil, we even were chaperoned for a afternoon walk by their two beautiful dogs.
