Its  not always about flash spots and expensive hotels. Every now and again when travelling you find a spot and you go yep i like this. A great location backed up by good people with facilities with character.

A great option

Love this place! I stayed for a couple of days and was perfect! Very clean and very good location. Even though is not in the Main Street is very close to the beach and to a very cute spot with lot of palm trees. Also very quiet, you can hear only the sound of the birds or the sea.

I have nothing but good things to say about Flashpackers Palm Cove. This  small backpackers is suitable for singles, couples, families and groups of friends. The location is perfect. It is across the road from the Palm Cove Tavern and next door to The Spa, Palm Cove. It is also only 100 metres from the beach and from Williams Esplanade where you have your choice of dining and shopping. As a solo traveller I felt very welcome and the proprietor is flexible on check in and check out times. If you wish to go into Cairns itself the bus runs right past. I thought reasonably priced accommodation in Palm Cove was an impossibilty until I found this place.

Cannot rate highly enough! Such an awesome place with great people, and so close to everything!!!! Clean, chilled out environment, and Wayne and Al make it even better. You guys rock, thanks for everything!

Best hostel ever

This was just an amazing place to stay at. I stayed there for 2 months as a backpacker to work and to enjoy the beautiful setting of North Queensland. 
It’s perfect if you don’t have a car because it’s such a small place to begin with and everything is in walking distance. People in the area are really nice and it’s quite easy to find a job if your passionate about it yourself. You can make decent money there since the restaurants don’t hire as many people and it’s not that much of a change as it is in bigger cities. You have more luck with good hours in Palm Cove then you do in Cairns in my opinion. 
The hostel itself was super clean, you had everything there, the owners Wayne and Al are super nice people. We got so many recommendations for good locations for day trips, waterfalls, rainforest, crocodile farms, lookout points, beaches —he got you. 
If you like rather working in a smaller area to get to know people more or to explore specific area in North Queensland, chill at the beach (2min walk) Palm Cove is the place to be.
It’s literally a smaller version of Port Douglas with one street.

AMAZING

Stayed here for one night after a late arrival into cairns. Flash-packers is less than 5 minutes walk away from the lovely beach. Wayne was very friendly and helpful, providing information and tips about the area. A good start to our trip to Queensland!

Great location!

Came for a friends wedding, and I found Flashpackers to be ideally located in the town and to the wedding venue. Enjoyed my time here immensely, really impressed with Wayne the manager who made it easy for me to achieve a late night entry. A can do attitude and a few “no worries mate” is a great way to be in my opinion. Cheers Wayne.
The establishment was in tip top shape, very clean. Nice vibe from the people staying there. Just keep an eye out for Allen the maintenance guy, he’s a talker haha
But all said and done would recommend Flaspackers highly in Palm Cove.

Palm cove wedding

I stayed for a small number of days in 2018.  It was delightful.  The owner and his wife were fantastic:  very professional, and quite friendly.  My single room was off the dining room and the kitchen - that could be a little noisy after hours if other folk did not abide by the curfew;  and that did happen twice.  Apart from that everything else was terrific.  And besides, Palm Cove is a very beautiful place and the weather was terrific too.

SPLENDID STAY

I came to Palm Cove as I was attending a wedding at a nearby resort, and needed some budget accommodation for a night before the wedding. I really enjoyed my short stay and would have loved to have stayed here for longer. The flashpackers is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. It was really nice to have two pillows, a really comfy bed and a towel provided as well. Wayne is a total badass, he is so helpful and even dropped me off at the resort when it was time to move, for which I am so grateful. Cannot recommend enough.

Bloody loved it here

Very nice staff, quiet place and at only 1 minute by walk to the beach. 
The atmosphere is very pleasant, a little corner of paradise.
I recommend this place to everyone, teenagers, couple, friends who want to have the best experience in palm cove.
