Stayed for 4 nights with a friend booked the Cormorant Cabin. Great experience and spot looking across the grass, the kangaroos grazed on, to the lake.

Well appointed cabin with everything needed including information on the area.

Took my Hello Fresh meals and easily cooked and enjoyed them from the covered verandah area. 

Also enjoyed the Citris Catering pop up restaurant on Friday night when we were there. The food was delectable, friendly service and great atmosphere from locals and others staying at the retreat.

It was a rainy time but beautiful to enjoy the cool after a hot Australia Day, and felt the perfect time to enjoy the nature we were surrounded by. Sitting on the verandah watching the kangaroos and kookaburras. So good to see the bush regenerating after the devastating bush fires.

Grabbed one of the kayaks available and spent time on the lake with the black swans then travelled along the tidal River to North Beach and back. Lots to explore with many great beaches a short distance from. The retreat.

Eco friendly with a good compost toilet (different toilet types in different buildings apparently) love not wasting water to flush and there was no smell.

Lovely bedroom upstairs and very comfy king size sofa bed and camp bed.

Keen to go back again. The yoga and other retreats held there look great. Got a massage by a great practitioner in Bawley who practices at some of the retreats.

Love it, felt so relaxed after my visit

Citrus Popup Restaurant in a beautiful retreat function centre at Bawley Bush Retreat. I can't praise this enough. A popup with excellent food. All 3 courses were brilliant. The balance of flavours in all courses was so good. 80 for a top class 3 course BYO. The service was super efficient and friendly making it a great experience. Will definitely do more  and also mention to company management about a great conference centre for a company group.

Citrus Popup Restaurant in Bawley B R

Came up the coast and booked in for one night. We absolutely regretted not booking in for longer. The views from our room were breathtaking and the atmosphere was like a home away from home, the wood fire in winter was also a major plus. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bush escape and some r&r. We are looking forward to coming back again in the future.

Absolutely amazing

I stayed in the Wombat Caravan for a week late November. Heading down there I was a little unsure what to expect - not the kind of accommodation I'm used to. But it really was a wonder! It had all I could need, a very well equipped kitchen, wonderfully comfortable bed, and the bathroom - while a little cramped - was fine (the shower in particular was amazing, I've stayed in hotel rooms with worse showers!). Evenings spent relaxing outside with the birds and kangas and other wildlife - but don't forget the aerogard!
The retreat is in a beautiful spot, the grounds are wonderfully kept and it is fantastically quiet and relaxing. Staff - Mandy and Mark, friendly, on hand and always willing to help. 
And of course the area is stunning - so many beautiful beaches and national parks if bushwalking is your thing. 

(As a postscript - I really hope everyone is and stays safe down there, hopefully I'll get back and see you again soon!)

Great accommodation in a beautiful location

We came for a large family wedding. Booked the whole place out for a number of days.
What a relaxing place to stay and a great place for a wedding. 
There are various cabins layouts that can cater for families or even just a romantic quiet getaway. Ours only had a kitchenette, but others had full kitchens. Nice bedding and decent shower. 

Location wise it’s 2-3min drive to Bawley Point.
Phone reception is low, but that’s fine if you are here to disconnect a bit. 

Intend to come back just for a family retreat to enjoy the peacefulness.

Wedding weekend

We had such a restful time at this charming little gem. It was a delight. Each cabin is separate and private, nestled in to beautiful bushland. We highly recommend it. The firewood was a plus, although we had to fossick around for kindling to get the fire going.

Great place!

We stayed in the Cafe Cottage for 5 nights with our family of four, there was more than enough room for us all.  We also utilised the attached cockatoo function room for the Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The kitchen in the cottage was exceptional and made preparation and catering for the event a breeze!!
We also had family and friends staying in most of the cottage in the retreat, with all providing feedback of how comfortable and homely the accommodation was. All mentioned the friendly visits from the local wildlife too!!

Magical Tranquil Location

Bawley Bush Retreat excelled our expectations, the accommodation very welcoming with white  Linen and fluffy white towels, the apartment was well equipped.
 
Do as much or as little as you like, canoeing, bush walks and lovely surfing beaches near by at Bawley Point.

I think we were the only guests who didn’t bring a dog.  The dogs were well behaved guests as was their owners.

Tranquility escape

Very cosy and peaceful apartment with a great view onto a lake. Enjoyed it very much.
The receptionist was very helpful with a misunderstanding between the booking and the bedding we had actually ordered and adjusted the price, which was very much appreciated. 
We will be back to this beautiful place the next time we will be in this area. 

Peaceful place to relax

Mandy greeted us with friendliness and helpfulness, happy for us to check in early as there was no booking the night before. We booked Kookaburra - just delightful! So much room, everything we needed. Quality linen was appreciated. Fabulous closed in area for our Golden Retriever who lay on the deck or lawn dosing in the sun, safely restrained but able to enjoy the bird life on the dam and the kangaroos in the bush. The tin roof was beautiful with the rain. Very relaxing and very peaceful.
