Beautiful house. Spotless clean.
It has everything you might need. There is plenty of wood for the fireplace that will keep the house warm during cold weather. There are shops a short drive from the house. And lots of cute kangaroos on the road!

Perfect stay

A fabulous location up in the treetops but the cabin left a lot to be desired in cleanliness & lack of maintenance. Hole in the wall, putrid smell in the pantry, broken dishwasher handle& the list could go on.  No tea or coffee or basics on arrival & generally run down. Not worth the high tariff. The owners did not welcome us or appear the 3 days we were there. Very disappointing that a property can be let out in this state.

Disappointing accommodation

We had booked this place at least ten months in advance, to attend a wedding. We were really looking forward to our break away.
On arrival everything was grotty and dirty.
Every surface was sticky and greasy. Toilet was dirty, lounge and armchair were marked and smelled musty. The back of the blue armchair was filthy with dirt and sweat marks from other guests.
The elements on the stove were completely rusty, the oven, although appearing clean, smelt of grease.
The deck was covered in a thick carpet of bark and leaves, which we had to sweep away. I understand the place is surrounded by gum trees, but we live in the country, surrounded by trees, and this deck hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.
I have tried contacting the owner, I sent him a very polite message, but have had no response. 
There was no cover on the ironing board, no fire extinguisher and no fire blanket near the stove, which I thought was mandatory in short term rentals??
Just don’t waste your time or money staying here!! So disappointed.
I thought all accommodation had Covid cleaning standards, this place hadn’t even been cleaned to a basic standard.
The only thing amazing about this place are the views.

Very disappointed

Comfortable cabin high amongst the trees with wood fire, wrap around deck with seating, windows on every aspect (even the toilet and  bath) . Wallabies hop through the site, sunrise and sets are beautiful, no urban noise at all, fabulous hot water  for a soak in the tub.   
Tips- bring DVD's as TV reception can be  patchy, bring binoculars if you have them to scan the coast, bring cards or games if you enjoy that, bring bubble bath for the tub with a view, local IGA is well stocked, full size fridge so plenty of room for sunset drinks. Communication with host was excellent.

Awesome location among the trees.

Stayed two nights this time.  Our third visit, each time a different cottage.  So quiet, serene and peaceful.  All cottages have amazing views.  The cottages are very comfortable, with fully equipped kitchens. Just bring your food.   Or, you can, like most people bar be que outside your door.  The cottages were built some years back so while they are very comfortable indeed they are not super luxurious but very well maintained.  Just remember there is no phone connection.

Quiet, peaceful and amazing views

This is where we spent many a night 20 years ago, and even our wedding night. Was nervous as to how the place had stood the test of time and it didn't really disappoint. The views are still amazing, the abundance of wildlife is prolific, sooo many kangaroos. The cottages could do with a little TLC and some appliances could do with updating. The cottage needed to have some extra attention paid to the cleanliness, especially the kitchen.
However its not about this so much as the experience of tranquillity amongst the gums and giant blue sky, and this did not disappoint.

Down memory lane!

We stayed two nights in one of the cottages.  Its a very beautiful setting in the hills about 1-2 kms from good beaches. There was a kitchen and a deck for casual outdoor eating (including BBQ equipment).

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting

This stay was a gift for my birthday and we enjoyed every moment. So quiet and the views are amazing. We stayed in the Eagles Nest studio cottage which was rustic and charming. I would love to come back in winter with the fire blazing and a glass of red in hand. As everyone has mentioned there is no phone coverage so you really do have to relax. We went for a drive to Batemans Bay for lunch on day and found it an easy trip to do. We cooked on the bbq both nights and had drinks and nibblies on the deck watching the fabulous view and enjoying the peace. The cottages are far enough apart that except for the cars parked outside you wouldn't even know there was anyone else there.

Peaceful Perfection

We've just booked our next visit to Bundle Hill Cottages and we can't wait! This year's visit is late because we've been travelling elsewhere, but we knew we could not get through a year without a stay.

We have been visiting this little piece of paradise in Bawley Point for about seven years and try to go at least once a year (usually in winter) but often twice. We love the views, the serenity, the comfortable beds, and the visiting birds and kangaroos. 

We always hope for rain so we can sit by the fire with a good book, a magazine (or for me some sewing) and a nice cuppa or glass of wine! But when the weather is fine, it is lovely to get out in the fresh air and go for a walk around the village, or along the beach. 

The fact that there is little phone range is a boon for us, because we lead very busy lives back in the 'big smoke' but might worry some people. But if we need service, it's a short hop down the road to where there is more range – and a good excuse for a visit to the cafe, or the supermarket, newsagent and bottle shop for more supplies!

Unlike many such establishments, your hosts are usually out of sight, unless they're topping up the firewood box, but we always welcome the chance to have a chat if they are around – a lovely family.
