Stayed one night in a double room with shared bathroom. Clean, old but well maintained facilities, decorated with a personal touch. 4 rooms share 2 showers and one toilet which was enough. Management was excellent - communicated well and flexible leading up to our stay, kindly helping us with our request to change our room type without extra cost. Excellent location within town, 20 minutes from Coles Bay. All in all, a well-priced budget accommodation for those visiting Freycinet.

Homely overnight stop

Had two nights.  Group from work took over their group houses in Foster St. We had eight people, with a couple change over on the second night. Beds for everyone. Bathrooms very clean and modern. Kitchen with everything we needed. The lounge had very comfortable couches. Large and soft. Everyone enjoyed their stay in Bicheno. Electric blankets and TV in the sleep out rooms. Excellent heating.

Great facilities 

Close to the beach, which is pro! Clean hostel with absolutely modern and clean bathrooms. Cooking facilities could be better (no one has sharp knives these days).

Stayed in a two bed room which was pretty warm during the day, but at night, a cool breeze from the seaside brings cooler air.

Bicheno is somehow close to most sights along the east coast. We also visited Maria island which is about an hour away (plus ferry ride).



Solid hostel at the seaside

Being in our 50s and 60s, we were really apprehensive about booking a backpackers place but there was little availability in Bicheno. Turned out that we booked the perfect place. We stayed in the orange unit. The unit had everything we needed. It was really clean and comfortable. Wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. Great value. The girl on reception was lovely but I didn't catch her name.

Perfect stay

We had a double room with ensuite, which was located in a separate building. The room was very quiet. We also had access to a large kitchen  with fridge and freezer and a large lounge. Restaurants, a supermarket  and the  beach are within walking distance.

Everything a traveler needs. 

We stayed in a little block in a double room. Shared our bathroom with one other room..great shower and clean all the time..Room is not huge but always clean and comfy and good value. Close to the sea and small town with supermarket. Kitchen has oven, cooker, microwave, kettle toaster . Fridge in each block.Disabled shower too so caters for all. Late check in easy. Close to Freycinet National park if you have a car.

Fabulous little place

Basic hostel. Cramped dorm room - had to sleep with bags on my bed as not enough room on the floor for 8 main bags and day packs without tripping over them. No lockers or anything to lock up valuables. Key code not keys to room - makes you wonder how often they change the codes as anyone could enter the room once they know what it is.
Room straight onto kitchen/common room and very noisy.

Little security

We booked two nights in a queen room with ensuite. The sheets were crisp and clean, the towels were soft and clean. The room was reasonably sized and the bathroom was large and clean. This hostel building is clearly quite new and was very comfortable. Very central, good parking and okay kitchen facilities - also very clean. I would stay there again.

Clean and fresh

My family and I stayed one night in this impeccably neat and well located backpackers. We could walk everywhere and it was a perfect base for exploring Freycinet National Park. Most impressive though was our accommodating host (Alice). She provided great advice and was wonderfully welcoming! Cheers Alice!
