Trying to work out what exactly made this such a special stay. Was it the incredibly warm welcome from our host, was it the themed cottage, was it the sunset or was it the friendly wave from the farm next door as they went about their afternoon chores?  Or maybe it was the local port left as a sampler for after dinner or the spa bath overlooking the sunset.

I think everything.  Would definitely recommend a stay here if you are wanting to get away from it all.  

We stayed in the one bedroom cottage and it was perfect for us.

Country get away

Absolute perfection! Can sleep up to 10, so perfect if attending a wedding.

Fireplace (with firewood), lounge room, TV, fully self-contained. Breakfast included, that you cook yourself, with cereal, milk, eggs, muffins, croissants and spreads provided.

Outdoor area, where you can take in the absolutely stunning views!

An old working farm, each building has been converted into accommodation. 

No restaurant on site, not sure if you can get deliveries, but Kingsroy is a short drive into town, where you can pick up either dinner or buy something to cook up. Can not rate it enough!

Absolute serenity and perfection

We had an overnight stay in this beautiful pocket of Kingaroy. The views are indescribable and Sherylan couldn't be more accommodating, friendly and an incredible host. Our only issue is we only stayed one night and not more. We will definitely be back to stay in the Church, but will stay longer next time. Do yourself a favour and stay at this beautiful place. Everything has been thought of, you can just enjoy it !

Beautiful stay in the Church

Idyllic country vista stretching for miles, cosy accommodation (we took The Church, The Dairy and the Cottage for 3 nights for family of adults and children), plenty of food for breakfast and Dan ensured we had sufficient wood for inside fires and the outside fire pit so the children could roast marshmallows in the evening.  Dan also took the time to show the children the chickens and cows and let them help with getting kindling for the fires.  Wonderful hosts and we can't wait for another stay!

Idyllic country retreat!

This place is amazing! We stayed in the Dairy. The owners are so friendly and they have thought of everything! The breakfast is a lovely touch. Just beautiful! The views over the hills are magic. We spent most of our time outside! We will be back! Highly recommended! 

Just beautiful! 

We are a group of 2 couples who stayed in The Dairy for 2 nights.  The cottage was so cute with everything you could need for a wonderful stay.  The kitchen is well equipped and there is a bbq outside.  The rooms are spacious and there was ample space for the 4 of us.  But the most outstanding part is the view - in the day of the fields and hills, at dusk and dawn of the beautiful sunset/sunrise and in the night of the stars.

Beautiful views from a lovely cottage

Quaint, provincial, renovated historic chapel complete with fireplace, fully equiped kitchen, spa bath, bbq, amazingly comfortable bed amid bird-filled gardens, hill top breezes, views over flowerbeds and fields. A very warm welcome and directions had us visiting local Crane Wines for our tipple, and a local pizza place for dinner on the patio with the best views over the valleys to the ranges, with the sounds of only contented cattle, birdsong, breezes in the flowering trees.  The stars, satellites and planets filled the sky and the temperature was blissful. Country hospitality with so many thoughtful luxuries and 'gifts' from the handmilled soaps, local port for night-cap, fresh ground coffee and continental breakfast tray fulfilling - even gluten free! We will recommend to all for a romantic weekend away from the big city.

Stunning setting under starry starry skies

On arrival and on showing our accommodation we were very impressed our stay was in church cottage big open plan lounge wood burner kitchen jacuzzi. French doors to patio area with bbq and beautiful views . We would have stayed longer but was fully booked. Host very friendly no complaints to this property it’s spot on and if you want peace and quiet go for it 

Escape 

I was here with my daughter for a junior Queensland golf competition and I am so glad we picked to stay at the Hillview Cottages.

As soon as we drove down the driveway we were so amazed. It was definitely a peaceful and relaxing place to come to. Everything we needed for a short stay was here and Sandy (owner) has certainly thought of every little thing.

We stayed at the “Church” cottage and loved the spa and lighting the fire every night. 

The views are amazing with the cows and wildlife right at your door step. The cottages come with a breakfast tray and eggs from the chickens in the property. The port was a nice touch and was enjoyed after walking 18 holes each day for three days.

The room was large and a true home away from home. Bathrooms were extremely clean with beautiful touches of bath salts for the spa and hand made soap.

Thank you for sharing your slice of the stunning country atmosphere and warmth. I will be definitely coming back with my wife for a romantic getaway and a second time with the kids to explore all that the South Burnett has to offer.



A true taste of the Australian Country

We stayed in the Caretaker's Cottage, which is a delightful  & comfortable 1 bedroom Cottage complete with a fireplace, spa bath and a fully equipped kitchen plus outdoor BBQ.  It has a picturesque view from the verandah across a shallow valley & over to the hills on the horizon. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. You wouldn't come here to rave but should certainly come to enjoy the rural ambience and country.  A perfect spot to recharge and generally veg out.  We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.
