I stayed in Phoenix apartments for a week and found it to be all I needed.
Laundry was helpful (washing machine and iron both were used), and the kitchen made self-catering practical choice.
Heating was good in lounge and bedroom, with plenty of winter sunlight through north-facing windows.

Central and Handy

Location was perfect. Good restaurants and bars nearby, and easy to get to all local attractions. Staff were helpful on check-in and available at very short notice for any questions or problems (not that we had any). Our apartment was clean, quiet, and had plenty of space, plus everything we needed to make our stay a great one.  Good value for money, and we would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant!

A CityStyle apartment ..delightfully  spacious  one-bedroom..with a walk-in closet. Loved the gas stove  and cooking with the heavy duty stainless steel saucepans!   The non- stick frypan was really non-stick (quite a rarity in serviced apartments) you can tell I love cooking!  Housekeeping staff accommodating and friendly. Shopping was a breeze, Canberra City Centre 12 minutes  walking distance - every store you’re familiar with is there.  Beautiful park 3 minutes away and everyone says hi and smiles..so go to Canberra!  Fresh and peaceful - recharge and enjoy. Call CityStyle, they’ll give you a good deal.  By the way, would suggest including  a small carton of UHT milk in the fridge, a few bags of herbal tea and decaf coffee satchels..

CityStyle Apartment in 3/6 Macleay St Turner

We had a 15th floor apartment overlooking Glebe Park, in the Manhattan Building. Great panoramic view of the city from the war memorial right round to parliament, from the big balcony (just ignore the Crowne Plaza across the street).
High ceilings, stylish interior, comfortable bed, and excellent service. Couldn’t fault it.

Manhattan by name and style

Getting into the room can be a bit of an issue but staff are very helpful in gaining key access after hours. Overall the apartment was a good size with full size fridge and cooking facilities. Lounge / dining is large and decor is ok. TV was crap. Half channels did not work as TV too old to get HD reception. Excellent location walking distance to Civic and Braddon shops and restaurants.On site parking a bonus. Not a big fan of having a separate bathroom at the other end of the apartment and not an ensuite to the bedroom.  Complimentary coffee was drinkable.

large comfortable 1 bed apartment

We booked a one room apartment in CityStyle for a 3 night mid-week stay. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom. The  kitchen  had all the utensils and equipment needed for self catering. Free parking is a big plus in Canberra and the information provided on book in explained well how to access the parking space. The units are within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops in the CBD. Only 2 small issues - the room smelt very strongly of cleaning products when we checked in and it took some time to dissipate.  Also the shower curtain was very mouldy. Overall, however we had a very pleasant stay and will happily stay again.

Spacious well-equipped apartments.

Our apartment was quite nice, inviting when you walked in with a kitchen, well set out with a stove and microwave, a laundry with a toilet, a rather big bed room with a desk and television on the wall, good wardrobe space and an ensuite bathroom (lighting not bright in bathroom for makeup). Nice dining area and lounge area with floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors in lounge and bed room. A nice outside area to enjoy a drink or a coffee. Our family had an apartment on 3rd floor not as nice as ours, they were a little disappointed as it was dated....once they saw our apartment they mentioned this. It should be pointed out in the kitchen there is a switch on left hand side from the sink where you turn it on to use the stove. This apartment is very secure, even our family on 3rd level could not get to us on 4th level unless we travelled in the lift to meet them to take them to our apartment. I should point out in the ensuite bathroom the step up into the shower is quite high, be careful stepping in and out, be mindful of this as not to slip. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL BUT AN APARTMENT MANAGED BY PHEONIX, SELF CHECK IN WITH ALL THE DETAILS EMAILED TO YOU ONCE YOU HAVE PAID.

A nice apartment 4th floor, well set out and quite modern, lovely outlook from balcony from lounge and bed room.

Just finished a 4 night stay. The unit was conveniently located in Braddon, an easy walk to shops and eating places. Met our needs (queen room, ensuite, kitchenette, TV, parking). Was clean and secure.
Worked out well. Have paid much more for similar facilities in the past. But saved on overheads for reception and other communal facilities that are in hotels. Had one query about use of the cooktop which was quickly resolved by calling the helpline. Will most likely use these guys again on our next Canberra trip.

Good value & convenient

We were looking for accommodation in Braddon. Because of Summer Nats, our usual accommodation was not available. After we had booked we found the apartment was in Turner, not Braddon. Having said that, they are quite well appointed and we would definitely consider staying there again. The apartments in Turner were within walking distance of Lonsdale Street and also our son’s place. Loved the full kitchen and front and back balconies. Great that there is a laundry in the apartment. The toilet sometimes continues to run and the fan did not work. Well appointed and a comfy stay. It is not a hotel, keys have to be picked up from Northborne AVe, Braddon.

Not where we thought, but very serviceable

These are wonderfully located near the CBD and near what I wanted. They are not a hotel, nor with staff, just apartments and with the usual kitchen, fridge, cooking space, wi-fit, TV etc  Good be better with more art works, more toiletteries etc  but good, if not expensive, for the location.
