We've stayed here before, and each time it's just great.  We stayed in July this year to enjoy some winter weather - it was wonderful.  There's a fire in the main sitting room which the owners keep going with real logs, and the views down into the valleys with mist in the morning are beautiful.  Also, this time there were dinners offered, and these were delicious.  It was nice not to have to go out for dinner if you didn't feel like it.  Highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation and food

One of the very best B&B places we’ve ever stayed at. The hosts Heather & Ruth were lovely, nothing was to much bother . A beautiful house with fantastic scenery. Will certainly be back . Thanks for your hospitality it was great

Fantastic holiday

We stayed here for the wonderful Bridgetown Garden Festival, and it was perfect.  Four wonderful rooms (there were 4 of us, so a room each).  Great beds, with excellent linen, everything super clean.  Everyone loved the fresh bread made each morning with local jams.  Nice large grounds to walk in.  Every room had an en suite.  Thanks!

Very nice

Rory & Ruth looked after us very well. Nothing was too much to ask. Bedroom/bathroom very clean and king size bed very comfortable. Fresh bread and locally made jams were delicious. Great location & beautiful peaceful views, lots of bird life.  Highly recommend.

Great get away.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of staying at Shambhala for 2 nights.  While we were visiting the Garden Festival in neighbouring town Nannup, we chose Bridgetown for our accommodation so that we could explore the wider area.
Shambhala is an interesting layout - accommodation area on the left of the building, entrance and large common lounge /dining are in the middle and the private area for the owners on the right.
Being Autumn it was still a little cold, especially at night.  The common lounge always had a very welcoming fire burning.  Very cozy!
Our room had plenty of space and was very comfortable.  Do take note that there are no TVs in the bedroom, only the living room.  This was fine for us.
Breakfast was a simple continental arrangement.  One highlight was honey from the owner's own beehive!  I believe they do offer a cooked breakfast at an extra cost, however we were content with the simpler breakfast.
The area itself is peaceful with a gorgeous garden.
We did need to use our car navigator to find it but still had no issues.
In general, we would definitely recommend Shambhala and look forward to staying there again one day.

Perfect weekend stay - luxury and comfort at a very affordable price!

Luckily we got there just in time to see the sun sets. It's such a beautiful way to see the sun go down behind those hills.

We had a beautiful room facing the garden and a balcony attached. The bed was comfortable and the whole amenity clean. We were even allowed to use the barbie in the evening which was sitting on another balcony. It was bloody cold at night, quite unusual for October I guess. The host kindly got the fire place going. Breakfast was really great. And I was allowed to pick some lemons to heal my cold. :) Thanks for that.

I woke up quite early, coz the sunrise is early too and to get going. When I looked out of the window I saw that was I was hoping to see while being down in the south west. Fog was hanging in the valley. It was such a fantastic view. Love it.

I can really recommend that place.

Splendid place - Nice sunsets and sunrises

We just recently had the pleasure of going to Bridgetown  and staying at the best place we could have chosen.
We have stayed at Shambala Guest House before and because of the lovely stay we had there always said we would love to return, so that we did.
Once again the Owners Rory & Ruth did not let us down, and we spent a very restful nights sleep in a very comfy & spotless room, with the bonus of a balcony to enjoy the gorgeous views . 
Once again coming home from a night in Town to the beautiful welcoming fire and enjoying a cuppa before bed was a bonus.
They have certainly worked hard at making this little place a real home away from home.   So appreciated , and definitely a B & B that we will be recommending.

Best B & B we've ever been to.

We enjoyed a friendly welcome to this delightful, purpose-built, B&B. Our room was spacious, well-appointed and clean, with a veranda opening out to expansive grounds with magnificent views. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable with a huge tile fire for warmth and a large entertainment deck with BBQ and pizza oven. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return with a small group to enjoy the ambiance together.

Magnificent view, hospitable host

Rory and Ruth are a lovely couple who run a tight ship ensuring rooms are spotless, fire burning and any other needs catered for. The King room in the corner and Queen on the same side overlook the valley and both have own en-suite.  Definitely a cut above some other ‘tired’ properties in the area. A wonderful local winery called Sunnyhurst, Cider house/cafe well worth a visit and a very knowledgeable private and personalised tour guide available for small group tours of forest and flora and fauna in the area. Rory or Visitor Centre  can provide her details. 

Great location and peaceful 

This guest house has a lot going for it: gorgeous views, comfortable beds, a nice shared sitting room with fire, TV, fridge, microwave, decent plunger coffee and tea as well as a big deck and BBQ grill outside plus good WiFi (essential for visitors from the USA!) I particularly enjoyed the friendly sheep and chatting to the host Rory.
